Hello creatives,it's another beautiful time to be here to share ideas through works of art and for this reason,I will be sharing the latest painting I did on an A4 sized paper in oil colour, titled,"Nnem".
It seems to me that these days, I have been paying more attention to the usage cultural terms from my country,Nigeria,in my works and today isn't different as the title,"Nnem",is a word meaning "my mother",it is used by the igbo people,a subset of the cultural groups in Nigeria.
The role of a mother in the life of a growing child and even a grown child can not be over emphasized.
She stands as the support and pillar for the child's first few movements.
She satisfies the child's hunger
quenches his thirst
stops his tears and
breaks his fears.
As Dorothy Canfield Fisher rightly quipped and I quote,"A mother is not a person to lean on but a person to make leaning unnecessary"

Selah.

As usual,I took some progress shots while working.Do enjoy.
