Inspiration -
Smile is a beautiful gesture, more like an adornment. An individual's precious adornment, strength, and motivation. I believe in this race, we all are ultimately targeting to become happy and content. True, that we all are individually struggling for different opportunities yet it feels like we all are striving to be happy. Something which is with us all this time long. Nothing expensive, nothing sore, nothing demanding, nothing rare, something which is in us all this time long, a natural expression of happiness; smile.

Art Type -
Sketch Art

Materials Used -

  • Sketchbook
  • Ballpoint pen
  • Subject
  • Direction of the light arrangement

Tips -

  • Visualize, align and outline your sketch at the beginning.
  • Start with a pencil sketch to make your hand flexible, then move on to a pen sketch.
  • Play with darkness and light to suit the painting's tone.
  • Portrayal of light and dark shades are also significant in determining the position of light and also makes the portrait more alive.
  • Plan ahead of time how you will project your edges and shadows.
  • In sketching, edges determine the value of the painting.

Difficulties -

  • Play of light on the face and dress
  • Outlining and hatching the hair and dress
  • Sketching the earrings along with the flower design on the hair lock
  • Using different forms of hatching to create a joyous outlook than a monotonous one
