Vamos a entrar en contexto, durante la pandemia he tenido la oportunidad de ver como muchas personas aprender algo nuevo y buscan emprender, como diseñador me es bastante común ver gente abrir pequeños negocios de diversos estilos; Soy asiduo a Instagram y Facebook, también de #Hive donde he visto como la gente está creando emprendimientos no comerciales, como blogs, vlogs y espacios en general donde muestran su día a día, comparten sus reflexiones y talentos, eso es algo que simplemente aplaudo.
Let's get in context, during the pandemic I've had the opportunity to see how many people learn something new and seek to start a business, as a designer it's quite common to see people open small businesses of various styles; I'm a frequent user of Instagram and Facebook, also of #Hive where I've seen how people are creating non-commercial ventures, such as blogs, vlogs and spaces in general where they show their day to day, share their thoughts and talents, that's something I simply applaud.
Centrándonos en #Hive, sé que muchas son las personas que a diario tienen problemas con encontrar imágenes que acompañen a su texto, y aunque a muchos curadores prefieren fotografías o diseños originales, soy consciente de que a veces la musa llega en letras y no en imágenes, por lo que utilizar imágenes de internet es algo bastante común.
Hoy quiero compartirle una recopilación de sitios web donde pueden obtener una inmensa cantidad de imágenes gratuitas, para usar en sus post, en sus diseños, ilustraciones e incluso como inspiración para su arte. La mayoría de las páginas que les mostraré cuentan con imágenes con licencia para uso comercial y no comercial, y antes de seguir quiero aclarar algo para quienes no conozcan mucho sobre las licencias.
Focusing on #Hive, I know that many are the people who daily have trouble finding images to accompany their text, and although many curators prefer photographs or original designs, I am aware that sometimes the muse comes in letters and not in images, so using images from the internet is quite common.
Today I want to share with you a collection of websites where you can get a huge amount of free images, to use in your posts, in your designs, illustrations and even as inspiration for your art. Most of the pages I'll show you have images with license for commercial and non-commercial use, and before continuing I want to clarify something for those who don't know much about licenses.
En #Hive si bien es una plataforma donde creamos contenido, a diferencia de Instagram o Facebook, recibimos una remuneración por nuestro contenido (Criptomonedas) y por ende, todas las imágenes que utilicemos en nuestros post deberían tener una licencia gratuita para uso comercial. Aunque muchos no lo digan, el usar imágenes sin licencia y simplemente citar la fuente, puede acarrear sanciones de distintos tipos, en pocas palabras si usas el Logotipo de Pepsi sin el permiso de la compañía, te arriesgas a recibir una reclamación por parte de la misma.
Otra cuestión es que si bien algunas páginas dejan en claro que su contenido no requiere ningún tipo de reconocimiento o atribución, @Hivewatchers suele recomendar citar la fuente de la imagen siempre, puesto que de esta manera creamos costumbre y le damos crédito a los autores siempre, por lo que yo recomiendo siempre citar las fuentes como un acto de ética.
Although #Hive is a platform where we create content, unlike Instagram or Facebook, we receive a remuneration for our content (Crypto currencies) and therefore, all the images we use in our posts should have a free license for commercial use. Although most people don't say so, using unlicensed images and simply citing the source can lead to penalties of various kinds. In short, if you use the Pepsi Logo without the company's permission, then you risk receiving a claim from the company.
Another issue is that while some pages make it clear that their content does not require any kind of recognition or attribution, @Hivewatchers usually recommends quoting the source of the image every time, since this way we create a habit and give credit to the authors every time, so I always recommend quoting the sources as an act of ethics.
A continuación voy a hablar un poco de las páginas que recomiendo, y como recomendación opcional les sugiero guardar este post en los favoritos para uso a futuro. Dividiré las páginas en 4 Categorías, PNG (Imágenes sin fondos), Ilustraciones 2D, Imágenes 3D y Fotografías; y dejaré un pequeño comentario de cada web con base en mi experiencia.
Next I will talk a little bit about the pages I recommend, and as an optional recommendation I suggest you to save this post in your favorites for future use.
