Comics tell a story--or at the very least--communicate an idea or a feeling. See if you can spot the comics and comic influences in the below assortment of images from ArtVndngMchn artists Mike Rende and myself. Some images tell a story, some allude to a larger story (told or untold), some convey a vibe, and some just make you laugh or scratch your head.
Moreover, since often comics are words and pictures, some of these images become even more of a comic when you read each accompanying description for the particular art pieces. For example, take the image 3rd from left below, called "Hip CEO." By itself many would not see it as a comic. But the text description alongside this NFT on AtomicHub marketplace changes that; "Who's the ultra cool stylish dude in the custom artsy leather jacket looking like a rock star? Your boss."
As someone who has done long-form comics over 200 pages in length as well as over 1,000 single panel self-contained cartoons, plus experimental comics for over 3 decades, I find the landscape of comics just as exciting as ever. And I hope you do too.
