Estas últimas semanas han sido verdaderamente estresantes en mi vida , pero por fortuna este fin de semana estoy más tranquila, a veces los dibujos son reflejo del estado de ánimo, por eso hoy tuve la motivación para dibujar, es decir, sentí la necesidad de hacer algo colorido sin ningún tema en especial, solo quería tomar mi lápices de colores y hacer algo con ellos, se me vino a la mente que quería dibujar un ave y realicé una búsqueda rápida de alguna referencia en la web, encontrándome con esta hermosa fotografía y decidí dibujarla.
These last few weeks have been really stressful in my life, but fortunately this weekend I am calmer, sometimes the drawings are a reflection of the mood, that's why today I had the motivation to draw, that is, I felt the need to do something colorful without any particular subject, I just wanted to take my colored pencils and do something with them, it came to my mind that I wanted to draw a bird and I did a quick search for any reference on the web, finding this beautiful photograph and decided draw it.

Posteriormente decidí investigar un poco de la especie del ave, encontrando que se llama La Tangara preciosa y también se reconoce como Saíra Preciosa, habita en Sudamérica en países como Brasil, Argentina, Paraguay y Uruguay, su alimentación es a base de frutos. También investigue sobre la fuente de la fotografía y encontré que la imagen pertenece a un fotógrafo llamado Sergio Gregorio, el cual toma fotografías a distintas especies de aves hermosas, esta fotografía fue tomada en la locación de Curitiba en Brasil.
Later I decided to investigate a little about the species of the bird, finding that it is called La Tangara Preciosa and it is also recognized as Saíra Preciosa, it lives in South America in countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, the feeding of the bird is based on fruits. I also researched the source of the photograph and found that the image belongs to a photographer named Sergio Gregorio, who takes pictures of different species of beautiful birds, this picture was taken at the Curitiba location in Brazil.

Para comenzar a hacer el dibujo lo primero fue trazar una línea vertical y una horizontal en el centro del formato para centrar la imagen, posteriormente con lápiz HB, ejerciendo poca presión sobre el papel, hice el bosquejo del dibujo. Una vez realizado el dibujo, seleccioné los lápices de colores a utilizar conforme a la paleta de colores de la imagen, creando grupos de colores para las áreas determinadas por los diferentes tonos. Comenzando a pintar desde el color más alto, es decir el más claro.
To start drawing the first thing was to draw a vertical and a horizontal line in the center of the format to center the image, later with an HB pencil, applying little pressure to the paper, I made the sketch of the drawing. Once the drawing was done, I selected the color pencils to use according to the color palette of the image, creating groups of colors for the areas determined by the different tones. Starting to paint from the highest color, that is, the lightest.
Continué pintando las tonalidades amarillas naranjas, seguidas de las tonalidades verdes y azules, siempre comenzando con los tonos bajos, seguidos de los altos.
I continued to paint the orange yellow hues, followed by the green and blue hues, always starting with the low tones, followed by the highs.
El ultimo color que utilizo en la figura es el negro, con este pinto los ojos y las patas, el negro se utiliza de ultimo porque los lápices de colores son blandos, estos al pasar sobre el papel desprenden pequeñas virutas que casi no se pueden ver, estas si son frotadas con un color más claro terminara haciendo manchas, es por ello que se usa el color negro de ultimo.
The last color that I use in the figure is black, with this I paint the eyes and the legs, black is used last because the colored pencils are soft, these when passing over the paper give off small shavings that can hardly be seen , these if rubbed with a lighter color will end up making stains, that is why the last black color is used.
Una vez coloreada la figura principal, procedí a pintar la rama sobre la que reposa el ave, así como pintar el fondo de varias tonalidades para hacer una armonía por contraste bastante tenue.
Once the main figure was colored, I proceeded to paint the branch on which the bird rests, as well as painting the background in various shades to make a rather dim contrast harmony.
Resultado / Result
Esta ilustración de una Tangara Preciosa simplemente terminó por alegrarme el día, me die cuenta no solo observar aves es terapéutico sino que dibujarlas también lo es.
This illustration of a Precious Tanager simply ended up brightening my day, I realized not only is bird watching therapeutic, but drawing them is also.
