This is another of the new works that share this miniature format of 7 cm x 8 cm, this one does not have a frame, however I did it on a more stable surface, a kind of cardboard that is regularly used to make models.
It was then that a few days ago I was commissioned to paint this miniature portrait of a beautiful puppy. I used pastel chalks, the process was a bit complicated because in this work I no longer had the freedom to add, modify or delete elements according to my criteria.
I like the way in which the stroke is defined in this type of work, it is possible to see the textures and the reliefs if one pays attention, in addition, mixing the colors in the pastel chalk is relatively simple and gives a visual effect similar to that of the Impressionism of the beginning of the last century.

Esta es otra de las nuevas obras que comparten este formato en miniatura de 7 cm x 8 cm, este no tiene un marco sin embargo lo hice sobre una superficie mas estable, una especie de cartón que es usado regularmente para hacer maquetas.
Fue entonces, que hace unos días se me encargó este retrato en minuatura de un hermoso cachorro. Usé tizas pastel, el proceso fue un poco complicado pues en esta obra ya no tenía la libertad de agregar, modificar o eliminar elementos según mi criterio.
Me gusta la forma en la que se define el trazo en este tipo de obras, es posible ver las texturas y los relieves si uno presta atención, además, mezclar los colores en la tiza pastel es relaitvamente sencillo y da un efecto visual similar al del impresionismo de inicios del siglo pasado.
