Splinterlands art contest week #278 (Nectar Queen)

Every week Splinterlands Community holds an art contest on Hive and I participate in it almost every week . So here is a Short intro on how to take part in the contest .
One entry is allowed per account ,people are to draw Splinterlands game characters from Splinterlandscard.com in their own art style or just make something inspired by them . Any art medium is allowed how ever Plagiarism and tracing others art is prohibited.

For my This week's entry I'm drawing the card called " Nectar Queen".
So firstly it's like a version of both a queen wasp and a bee there is no accessories over her just a little detail on the wings . so I sketched it all according to that. I made the eyes more like a gem to give it that geometric shape . After the initial sketch I go into a digital drawing app called medibang paint pro and import my sketch on it now I converted all the sketch into a lineart with a pen sharp brush by tracing over the sketch I had drawn . One thing I do at this point is to make each line art of element on a different layer like the wings and legs and the torso are all on different layers . As I finished my lineart now is the time to start adding flat colors to our Lineart with paint bucket tool the main colors were yellow with brown stripes then the sting and wings were pale blue and dark blue I turned the opacity of the wings down a bit and with a also selection tool. I started making squiggly long lines on the wings and added a purple pink gradient so it looks like the holographic Design on insect wings.

After the flat colors I start shading the character her body First so it's all like the light point is at bottom right so the shadow is from left top this way I shaded the legs even and for the eyes I gave them some teal highlights .

Since we shaded the character we will also add highlights where the light hits since insects have a cylindrical torso the highlights will go in a rounder contour manner . I added some highlights to the limbs and the eye and some more color to the wings .

Now for the last few touches I added. A dark blue to teal gradient Background this also shows like where the light source is next I color all the lineart elements differently I set the opacity of the wings a bit lower added some light adjustments to make it look more cooler .

Finally added my water mark and here is the final result
