Hello friends,
I want to share with you my today’s watercolor painting.
For this painting I used “White Nights” watercolors, and “Artists Loft” watercolor paper.
- I decided to draw a sketch diagonally. I did a sketch of two shells (one of them has a pearl in it) in the middle of the paper, so it touches the sky and the sea:-)
- I started painting the sky, I dabbed some spots on the sky with dried brush to make clouds.
- Here I should admit my mistake, I was going to have three lines: sky, water, and the sand. I got confused and forgot my plan, sigh.
That’s why my sky at this point looks unfinished.
So, while I forgot and left my sky drying there, I wet the sea area with water, and started adding paints in this order: blue, turquoise, and then more water at the bottom.
Then I finished the sky.
- Now it’s the most interesting part - the Pearl and Seashels.
I used black, umber, yellow ochre, ruby, and a bit of purple for the Shells.
I painted the Pearl with turquoise, blue, and purple.
I hope you enjoyed the step by step photos.
