@armero is still number 1 - closing mint and no more selling SIM

@armero continues to be at the top of the dCity income rankings, which are the most important rankings in the game. Armero's city is earning more SIM daily than any other account in the game (I checked), except @ecoinstant by a small margin, who of course is cheating a bit because he gets a presidential salary. You of course can check for yourself here, for any user at any time.

We are 6th ranked in the SIM:SWAP.HIVE LP, and up until recently had still been increasing it. There is more than 2860 swap.hive in there paired with 15.8M SIM, although this varies as the price of SIM moves up and down.

The account's SIM power is now 17.8M and we are getting 3.638 HIVE in holding rewards daily for this amount. Easy street!

So if things are going so well, why are we changing things?

Mint Closed

I announced a while back last September that I was thinking about closing the mint, and instead reduced the price. But for now, I am closing the mint, finally. There hasn't been too much interest, although it hasn't stopped entirely. But the real reason is, we have already reached a scale of number 1 - we are not achieving any additional scale by growing the tax rebates, just diluting the holders with diminished marginal returns.

This doesn't mean that we will never mint again, I am thinking of some ideas and where it makes sense, I think I might in the future open up for limited mints on select cards. Keep your eyes open for that in the future - maybe.

What else?

No more SIM selling

We had been selling SIM, both for the weekly dividend payouts as well as for the LP match. Recently we have had quite the SIM price dip, although it seems to recovering a bit, and this was getting a bit stressful. Upon noticing that we have thousands of Swap.HIVE in the LP, I thought, "you know, if we had enough SIM, the holding rewards could be paying for a lot more of these dividends than they are now".

So thus a plan was hatched. Each week now, instead of selling SIM, I remove a small amount from the LP, enough to cover what we need to get the divs to go out (0.001 HIVE per token). This will slowly lower our rank in LP, and our LP rewards, but will allow us to accumulate SIM at a much faster rate, which will give us more HIVE holding rewards and require us to pull out less and less.

Based on some math, we can cover around a year of divs before we are fully out of the LP. At this time we should have more than 45M SIM on hand, so we will see what things look like over time, and when that time comes.

City value

The value of all the assets on the account are just north of 125M SIM at the time of posting. With a current SIM price of 0.00018024 HIVE current, that gives us an estimated 22538.667 HIVE value. With 87552 ARMERO outstanding, that's a 0.25743 HIVE ABV for each token. Not bad, considering what has happened over the last 2 months to the SIM price. We are still working, we are still viable, we are still doing exciting things. We are winning the game.

Reblogs

I also went through two years of my blog and reblogged all the posts about ARMERO onto the @armero account. I should have been doing this all along, like I do with @ecobanker, but it slipped past me. If you are reading this post and would like to know more, about ARMERO and its history, check out peakd.com/@armero for all the posts, in (reverse) order.
