Explotando un poco mis dotes de repostería, me presento con una receta muy particular, que quizás les causará confusión JAJAJAJAJA. Pero sí! **ES REAL**. En mi localidad, suelen llegar bolsas de alimentos que traen varios paquetes de lentejas. Llegó un punto, en donde empecé a odiar comerlas más de una vez a la semana. Así que un día, se cruzó esta maravillosa idea en mi camino, fusionando algo que me desagradaba, ¡Con mi dulce favorito! *EL CHOCOLATE* Espero que esto traiga la salvación a muchos de ustedes que seguro comparten mi pensamiento, y así ir bajando poco a poco los kilos de lenteja de la despensa. >### **Hello Dear Friends!** >I'm very excited, this is my first post in the community [*Foodies Bee Hive*](https://peakd.com/c/hive-120586/created). Exploiting a bit of my baking skills, I present myself with a very particular recipe, which will perhaps cause you some confusion Ha-ha-ha. But yes! **IT'S REAL.** In my area, bags of food usually arrive with several packages of lentils. At one point, I started to hate eating them more than once a week. So one day, this wonderful idea crossed my path, merging something I disliked, with my favorite candy! *THE CHOCOLATE* I hope that this will bring salvation to many of you who surely share my thinking, and thus gradually lower the pounds of lentils in the pantry. ![Torta de lentejas.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nanytioner/QVya7vkE-Torta20de20lentejas.png) **Ingredientes** - 1 taza de Harina de Trigo - 1 taza de Azúcar - 1 taza de Aceite - 1/4 taza de Lentejas - 2 cucharadas de Cacao en polvo - 3 Huevos - 1 cucharadita de Bicarbonato Aquí haré un paréntesis para decir que esta torta lleva Bicarbonato porque al tener lentejas, los granos esponjan mejor con el mismo. La función que cumplen las lentejas es que la torta quede esponjosa, aparte de brindarle algo saludable y sustituir la cantidad de harina de trigo de una torta normal. Otro dato, es que la cantidad de cacao puede ser mayor a 2 cucharadas, todo depende de que tan fuerte deseen la torta, si tipo ponqué o como brownie. ### **IMPORTANTE** Las lentejas deben ponerse a cocinar a llama baja, dejando que se ablanden dentro del agua. Luego de que estén suaves apagarlas y dejar que se enfríen. Al terminar este primer paso licuarlas con un poco de agua con la que se cocinaron, quedando una pasta o puré. **UTILIZAR SOLO 1 TAZA DE ESTE PURÉ PARA LA RECETA** >**Ingredients** - 1 cup Wheat Flour - 1 cup of Sugar - 1 cup of oil - 1/4 cup of lentils - 2 tablespoons of Cocoa powder - 3 Eggs - 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate >Here I will make a parenthesis to say that this cake has bicarbonate because having lentils, the grains sponge better with it. The function of the lentils is to make the cake spongy, apart from providing something healthy and replace the amount of wheat flour in a normal cake. Another fact is that the amount of cocoa can be more than 2 spoonfuls, it all depends on how strong you want the cake, if it is a punch or a brownie. >### **IMPORTANT** >The lentils should be cooked at a low flame, allowing them to soften in the water. After they are soft, turn them off and let them cool down. Y combinamos con el aceite para poder mezclar sin que se compacte la mezcla. >We incorporate the dry ingredients little by little. En mi casa, la licuadora se dañó, así que la trituré con un mortero. Igual que con los ingredientes anteriores, alternar los polvos, el aceite y el puré de lentejas de manera que sea fácil de batir hasta echarlos todos. >Ideally, the lentil should be liquefied. In my house, the blender was damaged, so I crushed it with a mortar. Luego de que levante el merengue, unir con el resto de la mezcla. Ayudará a que la torta quede mas esponjosa. >In a different container, beat these ingredients until they are snowy. After you lift the meringue, join it with the rest of the mixture. Exactamente esta es la cantidad para la receta, de ahí en adelante puedes duplicarla para hacer la cantidad que necesites. >These moulds are used for preparations of 1/4 kilo of dough. Exactly this is the amount for the recipe, from there on you can double it to make the amount you need. ![13.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nanytioner/uBC5DAMh-13.png) *Fill the mold with all the chocolate preparation* Llegó el momento de horneado, se puede hornear en 325-330ºF/160-165ºC. Mi horno no especifica la temperatura, es por números. Así que la coloqué en el numero 3, luego de precalentarlo bien. En 20min ya se puede revisar la torta a ver como va de cocción. Y mas tardar en media hora está lista para sacarla. >The time has come to bake, it can be baked at 325-330ºF/160-165ºC. My oven doesn't specify the temperature, it's by numbers. So I put it in number 3, after preheating it well. In 20min you can check the cake to see how it is going to bake. And in half an hour at the latest it is ready to be taken out. ![15.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nanytioner/i7XRJLj3-15.png) *Let the cake rest for 15 minutes and remove from the mould* Tuve un problema al desmoldarla, pero así quedó su apariencia y la textura era esponjosa como se aprecia en la foto inicial. >I had a problem when I unmolded it, but that's how it looked and the texture was spongy as you can see in the initial photo. ◇♥⌒♡⌒♥⌒♡⌒♥⌒♡⌒◇ No soy una experta repostera, pero he ido desarrollando poco a poco habilidades que no sabía que poseía. En mi casa nunca fuimos de hacer tortas, galletas o algún dulce. Las tortas de los cumpleaños siempre eran hechas en casa de mi abuela, por mi tía. Siempre que las visitaba me encantaba ayudar, y poco a poco empecé a llevar yo misma la creación de dulces en mi casa. Hace un año aproximadamente le propuse a mi tía empezar a hacer galletas para la venta, fue un emprendimiento maravilloso que espero en algún momento poder retomar. >I am not an expert pastry chef, but I have gradually developed skills that I did not know I possessed. In my house we never went to make cakes, cookies or any kind of candy. Birthday cakes were always made at my grandmother's house by my aunt. Whenever I visited them I loved to help, and little by little I started to take the creation of candy in my house myself. Un día recibí una llamada de uno de mis amigos de la infancia, proponiéndome si quería ayudarlo a hacer pan para la venta. Pensé dentro de mi *"Yo nunca he hecho pan"* lo que él no aceptó como excusa y dijo que me enseñaría. Y aquí me tienen, una Enfermera recién graduada trabajando en una panadería. Pero disfrutando de la experiencia, pues estoy con grandes amigos. Lo más bonito de esto, es explorar dones que ni siquiera sabía que poseía. Mis días son muy alegres, porque ellos me hacen reir con sus ocurrencias. >The circumstances of life and the COVID-19 pandemic in my country crippled many sectors economically, forcing many to re-engage. One day I received a call from one of my childhood friends, asking me if I would help him make bread for sale. I thought to myself *"I have never made bread"* which he did not accept as an excuse and said he would teach me. And here I am, a newly graduated nurse working in a bakery. But enjoying the experience, because I am with great friends. The most beautiful thing about it, is exploring gifts I didn't even know I had.
