Para mi este destaca por el hecho de que es un juego de rol, con campañas diferentes, las cuales están en un libro o más y un Amo del Calabozo es el encargado de leerlo, dirigir y narrar la campaña simultáneamente, sumándole un dado único, pues este no posee los lados convencionales, lo cual lo hace mucho más interactivo que otros juegos de mesa.

Lastimosamente es un juego algo costoso agregándole que hay diversas versiones y las posibilidades de adquirirlo son algo remotas pues hay prioridades, claro está, pero alrededor de mis 12 o 13 años, mi tía me regalo un libro donde hablan de algunas criaturas, sobretodo de magos, mi emoción aumento cuando descubrí que al final venia un sobre que incluía un juego de cartas y no pude evitar pensar en Calabozos y Dragones, lo guardo como uno de los objetos más preciados y queridos.
