Espero que estén muy bien y que su día haya sido productivo, yo estoy más que feliz debo admitir, pues como regalo de cumpleaños me había propuesto ir a la montaña, ya que suelo sumergirme mucho en el trabajo y dejo un poco de lado esta conexión necesaria con la naturaleza, volviendo al tema de este post, por fin tuve el gran placer de visitar la montaña, pero esta vez me dirigí a un lugar muy especial llamado “El Paraíso” un sitio que mezcla lo mejor de la naturaleza y la buena comida, pues está ubicado literalmente en medio del Cerro El Copey el cual es un parque nacional aquí en Venezuela, específicamente ubicado en la Isla de Margarita, a lo último de este post les dejaré la ubicación exacta y las redes sociales del lugar, por ahora les iré contando mi experiencia 👇

Hey dear friends! I hope you are very well and that your day has been productive, I am more than happy I must admit, because as a birthday gift I had proposed myself to go to the mountain, since I usually immerse myself a lot in work and I leave a little aside this necessary connection with nature, returning to the subject of this post, finally I had the great pleasure of visiting the mountain, but this time I went to a very special place called "El Paraíso" a place that mixes the best of nature and good food, because it is located literally in the middle of Cerro El Copey which is a national park here in Venezuela, specifically located on Margarita Island, at the end of this post I will leave you the exact location and social networks of the site, for now I will be telling you my experience 👇

Al llegar cuentas con atención personalizada, por lo que desde el principio te sientes a gusto, la persona que nos atendió dijo que mientras esperábamos la comida podría traernos una sangría de frutos rojos echa por ellos mismos, a lo que dijimos que si y realmente era una total delicia, el sabor era exquisito, ya que podías saborear y comer cada fruta.

When you arrive you have personalized attention, so from the beginning you feel at ease, the person who attended us said that while we waited for the food could bring us a sangria of red fruits made by themselves, to which we said yes and it really was a total delight, the taste was exquisite, as you could taste and eat each fruit.

Mientras disfrutaba de la debida refrescante comencé a observar detalles del lugar y a disfrutar de este ambiente que tanto necesitaba, amo con locura los pinos y aquí hay muchos, además de variedad de árboles, aves, animales e insectos, en cuanto al ambiente es muy fresco, Pedro (la persona que nos atendió) dijo que normalmente hace más frío, pero el calor que ha hecho en estos meses afecto un poco el clima, aun así, sentí que estaba bastante fresco allí arriba.

While enjoying the refreshing drink I began to observe details of the place and enjoy this environment that I needed so much, I love pine trees and here there are many, plus a variety of trees, birds, animals and insects, as for the environment is very cool, Pedro (the person who attended us) said that normally it is cooler, but the heat that has been in these months affected the weather a little, even so, I felt it was quite cool up there.

Una vez agarramos confianza con Pedro pude averiguar un poco sobre la historia de este lugar, este sitio tiene aproximadamente 27 años ofreciendo no solo servicio de comida sino también alojando personas, pues también cuenta con una posada aunque no está activa actualmente, es un negocio familiar por lo que primos, tíos y tías son los encargados de limpiar, cuidar y cocinar, de hecho Pedro nos aclaró que su tía es la encargada de cocinar, ella es la única que cocina como los dioses jaja (y no es mentira). Pedro también nos explicó que luego de la pandemia fue un poco difícil recuperarse, pero gracias a la ubicación del restaurante, que cuenta con una vista espectacular, pudieron recuperarse y seguir ofreciendo sus servicios, sobre todo en vacaciones, ya que las personas quedan realmente fascinadas con lo hermoso que es estar aquí.

Once we gained confidence with Pedro I was able to find out a little about the history of this place, this place has approximately 27 years offering not only food service but also hosting people, as it also has an inn although it is not currently active, it is a family business so cousins, uncles and aunts are in charge of cleaning, caring and cooking, in fact Pedro told us that his aunt is in charge of cooking, she is the only one who cooks like the gods haha (and it's not a lie). Pedro also explained that after the pandemic it was a little difficult to recover, but thanks to the location of the restaurant, which has a spectacular view, they were able to recover and continue offering their services, especially on vacations, as people are really fascinated with how beautiful it is to be here.

Conocí a “Bonita” quien es la guacamaya de Pedro, aunque tiene dos, el varón suele volar mucho por todos lados y regresa para comer, Bonita, en cambio, nunca pudo aprender a volar e incluso una vez lo intento, cayó en una casa y cuando Pedro la fue a buscar le habían dado con un hacha en su cabeza, Bonita desde entonces solo está con la familia, más que todo con él, aunque no le gusta que la acaricien es bastante amigable y le gusta pedirle comida a los clientes jajaja, luego en un próximo post les compartiré una sesión fotográfica que me pidió Pedro para Bonita. Ellos no son los únicos animales aquí, también habían un par de cachorros, pero Pedro nos contó que antes habían monos, serpientes y gatos salvajes (son el doble de grandes que los domesticados), algunos para exhibir y otros que aparecían de repente, lo cual es normal al vivir en medio de un bosque, mantienen el lugar libre de peligro al colocar cal a los rededores, de todas formas con el tiempo todos esos animales salvajes se fueron alejando, sobre todo los monos, pues iban al restaurante para robarse las frutas que recolectaban, los perros ayudaron mucho a ahuyentarlos, estas son algunas de las anécdotas que nos contó Pedro sobre el lugar y lo que han pasado para mantenerlo apto para los clientes.

I met "Bonita" who is Pedro's macaw, although he has two, the male usually flies around a lot and comes back to eat, Bonita, on the other hand, could never learn to fly and even once he tried it, he fell in a house and when Pedro went to look for her he had been hit with an axe on his head, Bonita since then is only with the family, mostly with him, although she doesn't like to be petted she is quite friendly and likes to ask the clients for food hahaha, later in a next post I will share with you a photo session that Pedro asked me to do for Bonita. They are not the only animals here, there were also a couple of puppies, but Pedro told us that before there were monkeys, snakes and wild cats (they are twice as big as the domesticated ones), some for exhibition and others that appeared suddenly, which is normal living in the middle of a forest, they keep the place free of danger by placing lime around, Anyway, with time all those wild animals were moving away, especially the monkeys, because they went to the restaurant to steal the fruits they collected, the dogs helped a lot to scare them away, these are some of the anecdotes that Pedro told us about the place and what they have gone through to keep it suitable for customers.

No les miento cuando digo que la vista es impresionante, puedes observar toda Pampatar desde aquí, algo que incluso estuve hablando con otras hivers de la Isla es que Margarita no solo es playa, también es montañas, senderismo, paisajes y bosques, esto es una muestra de ello, aquí puedes disfrutar de ambas cosas, lo cual es una de las razones por las que amo tanto vivir en la Isla, es como un sueño hecho realidad poder gozar de tanta belleza natural como esta, gran vista aquí es el principal atractivo del lugar junto con la comida de la cual les hablaré a continuación 👇.

I'm not lying when I say that the view is breathtaking, you can see all of Pampatar from here, something that I was even talking to other hivers of the Island is that Margarita is not only beach, it is also mountains, hiking, landscapes and forests, this is a sample of it, here you can enjoy both things, which is one of the reasons why I love so much living in the Island, it is like a dream come true to enjoy so much natural beauty like this, great view here is the main attraction of the place along with the food which I will tell you about next 👇.

Desde que me mude a la Isla había estado buscando las costillas en salsa BBQ perfectas, pero desgraciadamente no las había encontrado, en las redes sociales de este lugar las personas dejaban muchos comentarios sobre sus costillas, que eran las mejores, así que a demás de disfrutar de la naturaleza también fui a comprobar lo que decían las personas, y es totalmente cierto! Son las mejores costillas que he probado hasta ahora, sé que la salsa BBQ es una receta familiar y solo ellos saben como prepararla, además de eso mi acompañante pidió conejo, los cuales crían muy cerca de allí con alimentos especiales, ya que los conejos que comen pasto suelen tener un sabor a pasto cuando lo cocinan, estos, en cambio, son alimentados con frutas, la experiencia en general fue toda maravillosa, este sitio me engancho y espero regresar muy pronto!.

Since I moved to the island I had been looking for the perfect ribs in BBQ sauce, but unfortunately I had not found them, in the social networks of this place people left many comments about their ribs, that they were the best, so besides enjoying nature I also went to check what people said, and it is totally true! They are the best ribs I have tasted so far, I know that the BBQ sauce is a family recipe and only they know how to prepare it, besides that my companion ordered rabbit, which they raise very close to there with special food, since rabbits that eat grass usually have a grassy taste when cooked, these, instead, are fed with fruits, the overall experience was all wonderful, this place hooked me and I hope to return very soon!.
