First death case after vaccinating Sinovac COVID19 vaccine in Hong Kong

Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10:21 p.m. local time, Hong Kong media outlet The Standard reported that a 63-year-old man with diabetes died of acute breathing difficulties two days after receiving the free Synovac vaccine from the People's Republic of China.

It was reported that it was released only two days after his death.

The 63-year-old man suffered from diabetes and bronchitis, and had received the first immunization of the Synovac vaccine on February 26, 2021. Two days after vaccination, the man went to the emergency room of Queen Elizabeth Hospital complaining of shortness of breath on Sunday, February 28, 2021. Shortly after being diagnosed with acute bronchitis, the man lost consciousness and died around 6 am.

Medical staff at Queen Elizabeth Hospital thought the man was a COVID19 patient infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but medical records confirmed that he had received the synovac vaccine two days ago.

The Standard reported that the health authorities were not yet sure whether the cause of the death was due to the Synovac vaccination.

To date , about 40,000 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, the first vaccine in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile South Korean scientists found cannabinoids literally disable SARS-CoV-2 virus, and drew attention if cannabis could be the solution to stop COVID19 pandemic.
