The unseasonal rain that occurred in Nepal last week's Monday claimed life of many people, left many people homeless and destroyed million ton of rice that were ready for harvesting. These photos were sent by my friend living in the eastern part of Nepal that was also severely affected by flood due to non stop continuous rain. The rain had turned the paddy field into a watershed. Rice is one of the major important crops in Nepal as it is the daily staple food of every Nepalese in the morning and the evening. Still whatever is grown here in Nepal, it is not enough to feed all people. And million of metric tons of rice is exported from India yearly. And due to this disaster, I think now more quantity is going to be exported from India. I am sad to see all the efforts and time that farmers spend on growing up to this point has gone all in vain due to unexpected disaster. The issue of climate change and global warming is a serious issue everyone should focus on.
