Right now, Kathmandu has worst Air Quality Index. I am having a problem of burning sensation in my eyes since yesterday while returning from office. Not only Kathmandu, more than 42 districts of Nepal has been affected. The major part of due to this is raging wildfire across the forests in Nepal. The other reason for this phenomenon is due to major cities are entering to pre-monsoon period from the winter. The low wind speed might have caused the pollutants to be trapped in the city. Once there will be a sunny day then all those pollutants can reach the atmosphere and it will be safe.

But for now, its very unhealthy to go outside without masks and eyeglasses. Actually WHO stated that every people will be affected if AQL is above 300 and Kathmandu was in first position yesterday with AQI of 443. Especially people with respiratory infection are at the risk of being getting affected. Above photos were clicked from my home. I am sitting indoor for today.

I hope this won't be the weather tomorrow. We have a great festival tomorrow. Its called "Holi". Its Monday there in India. Last year, I couldn't celebrate it because pandemic was just getting started here and we were told to avoid crowd. But, I will be following safety protocol and enjoy this year.
