The past few months have been great fun. We’ve enjoyed all of the participation in The Ink Well fiction and poetry challenges. We’ve produced over 20 posts with tips on many aspects of fiction writing to help our writers improve their craft.
We want to hear from you!
- What are the biggest challenges you experience when writing fiction?
- When do you feel stuck?
- What aspects of writing cause you to scratch your head or wonder why you ever wanted to launch into this avocation in the first place?
Please look over the list of tips at the bottom of this post, and let us what you feel is missing. Here are some of our upcoming planned tips posts:
- Lessons in Tense, Part 2
- Tips for Effective Story Development
- Tips for Effective Story Resolution
- Page-Turner Opening Lines
- A Survey of Genre Writing
Tell us what you want to know! We look forward to hearing from you.
Happy writing!
@jayna, writer and moderator at The Ink Well.
If you're looking to up your fiction game and reach that next level, check out my past writing tips linked below.
We would like to invite lovers of poetry and short stories to visit The Ink Well, a Hive community started by @raj808 and run by @shanibeer @stormlight24 with support from moderators including @carolkean and @jayna.
Also, with the advent of https://hive.vote/ it is now possible to follow The Ink Well curation trail on Hive blockchain. It works just the same as steemauto; simply navigate to the curation trail section and search for theinkwell (all one word with no @ symbol) and our trail will pop up as an option.
Similarly delegations are possible on Hive using the fantastic https://peakd.com/ Hive Blockchain front end. If you wish to delegate to @theinkwell that supports creative writing on Hive by voting all of our contributors, you can do this from the wallet section of https://peakd.com/
A big thank you to all our delegations from:
@felt.buzz @shanibeer @kaelci @trucklife-family @preparedwombat @iamraincrystal @riverflows @owasco @agmoore and @marcybetancourt.
