This is an intriguing story with excellent character descriptions. We feel we know the father of this family. We certainly believe we know Aunty Ogechi. Which is why we worry about her also when she meets the strange man.
You do a good job of foreshadowing the ending here. Your hints are subtle but clear. This man is suspicious. In reading this we were looking for the prompt word, guide. Perhaps you intend Aunty Ogechi to serve as the guide, before she leaves the family.
