Billy sat shaking in his chair as the regular chants from the crowds started, they screamed on top of their voices, Tank, Tank, Tank !!!!! The announcer on the microphone started to say," his from west california, the one man that has driven his bike to hell and back and his leather like the skin of a serpent and his bike like hounds of hell".
A figure drove out from the underground pit in the arena and all the lights in the arena were turned off and the only source of illumination was the bike of Tank Michael the son of the beast, he rode out as his headlights blind some faces in the crowd as it came to Billy's face. Billy felt his blood freeze as if he had been floating and he felt his heart beat in his chest, he knew that this was what he was made to do and his hero had recognized him. Tank Michael, or son of the beast as he is popularly known, was a dare devil stunt man in the time of 2003 to 2006. He has made a reputation for himself as he did stunts around the world on his dirt bike, people from around the world come to see him do impossible things on a motorcycle. Mrs.Thomas (Billy's mother) had promised to take Billy to see Tank Michael as his seventh birthday present.
Tank stopped his bike at the starting line to the huge two peak cliffs that were far away from each other by many meters with wrecked cars below the cliffs. He felt the adrenaline rush in his body as he stared back to look at his wife with his unborn child and he took one long and hard look on her face as if it was the last time he was going to see her. He then started his bike and turned his gear and the crowd roared to the sound of the Ducati engine, he then went forward with speed to build momentum. There was a great silence in the arena. Some people closed their eyes out of fear but Tank's wife used her hands to cover her mouth as she shut her eyes. Tank rode his bike till there was no long road for him to ride on, he was in the air and under the influence of gravity and free fall now. He felt he could fly and let go of the steering as he put his hands as if he had been flying. As he started to descend he held his steering as he tried to steady the bike, people had already started screaming as they had seen the trajectory he was on and knew that a crash was imminent. Mrs.Thomas covered Billy's eyes as they heard a large crash and people screaming on top of their voices as they ran to his aid.
The death of his hero made Billy feel like he had big shoes to fill and he was chosen. Billy after the day of the accident he changed into entirely, he would start to dress like Tank Michael and told his friends to call him Tank. Just imagine a kid in highschool with long unkempt hair that wore ripped jeans and a leather jacket that would always scream out rock on impulse at every sentence. He looked like he wore a Halloween costume everywhere, this would make him seem weird and cause bullies to pick on him in school. He would always get into fights and be in and out of the principal's office during his time in school till he decided that school wasn't the right place for him. At 18, he dropped out to follow his passion of being a stuntman, it first of all started as though it was a joke, until he started practicing his stunts and always sustaining injuries to try and perfect some of his moves. In his local town, he was invited to high school parties to perform stunts as entertainment. Billy started to make some money and save to get enough money to buy a new bike, if he was going to do the stunt at Dead man's lane that killed Tank Michael. But he knew that if he wanted to perform this stunt successful he would need blessings from an extension of his hero and idol so he tracked Tank Michael's wife down and went to go see her.
Tank's wife Sarah was old now but her beauty was raident, she opened the door to a young boy that dressed like her dead husband, she felt it was one of the his fan boys ans told him to go away before she called the cops till Billy explained who he was before she opened the door. She gave him a chair to seat as she ordered an eleven year old boy that had been watching television to go to his room. She looked Billy in his face as she said, "Young man are you sure, you want to do the stunt that took my Micheal awaysl from me". Billt sat up straight as he said,"Yes madam, but this time I don't plan on dying". She continued,"What makes you so sure thst the jump wouldn't kill you?" Billy waited before he answered, then he said,"I was there when the accident happened and I feel its my duty to finish what he said, it makes so much sense that was why I was then in the first place". Sarah never remarried after the death of her husband, some of his sports sponsors had taken care of her and her son needs for a long time and she never saw the need to remarry. She stared at this boy and she could see her dead husband in him. She knew that she had to help him and achieve what her husband couldn't do. And she knew that even without her help, the young man had already made up his mind. She stood out and lead Billy outside as they came to a closed garage. She opened it and walked inside and Billy followed her, he had never seen so many bikes before. Sarah looked at Billy and told him to pick one, he waited for a while and said, "Are you serious ?" She nodded in approval. Billy went for the original ducati that was originally owned by Tank Micheal,aka son of the beast. He felt chills down his spine as touched the steering and mounted the great machinery, he looked up at Sarah as she smiled and said,"Nice choice ".
Word had spread quickly across town that the Billy was going to try and do what the great daredevil Tank Michael couldn't do. Almost everybody in town was in attendance including Mrs.Thomas that was shaking in her chair as she was scared of her boy turning out like the previous person that tried the stunt, she felt as though she couldn't breathe till she felt a soft touch on her shoulder. It was Tank Michael wife Sarah that touched her and gave her a hug as she reassured her that she believed that Billy would be alright. They both sat down with Tank junior at this mother's side as they waited for Billy to drive out of the pit. Like the previous time, the crowd began to chant again Tank, Tank, Tank till billy drove off with all the lights off. He wore an a red leather jacket with jeans. He rode to the starting point and brought his bike to a stop.
He could see all his friends and his highschool bullies in the crowd, he took deep breaths as he started his engine and drove up the high with great speed, he gripped the steering with some much energy that his veins were visible. Then he took off the cliff and was in the air, his mother held onto Sarah as she buried her face on her chest. Billy somersault in the air and landed on the second cliff, the chants of joy made Billy mother start to cry as she held onto Sarah that had been screaming on top of her voices, he did it, yes he did it.
Billy would later be signed by redbull and go on to do stunts in movies and in the entertainment industry.
