*A Tale of Mysteries*

Dorotea entered her apartment. It was a beautiful, spacious place with little furniture, just the necessary, light colors, the walls painted white and barely an orange shutter. Located in the suburbs of the city, in a building, it was on the 15th floor. It was an impeccable apartment and she lived there with her husband.

That afternoon Dorotea entered her apartment, she arrived alone and tired. She went to her room and when she entered she noticed that on the side of the bed where she slept there were some flies, only on that side, she went to shoo them away and the flies moved with difficulty, they were dumb flies, gray, their aspect was opaque and just by touching them she could not shoo them away, they had little mobility, something that never happens with flies, they are animals that are able to fly immediately with just a noise.

Dorotea was startled and was frightened and so it happened the next day. She went back inside and the flies were there inert on the side where she slept, in that bed where she slept with her husband, the side where she slept was full of those flies with that strange aspect, this time there were more of them.

Then she decided to call a friend, very dear to her, one of those who once and for all these worlds were inclined to oracles, predictions and divinations. She, her friend, that was her name, was very skilled with those auspices, since she was a child she had been doing those things and she was always at the service of those who wanted to rely on that world of omens. She had an instrument for that, it was a transparent stone that hung from a small chain and she moved it vigorously so that it would give her the answers and clean what needed to be cleaned.

When Dorotea talked to Ella, she learned that she no longer did it because she was now engaged in other practices that prevented her from this type of expertise. However, Ella proposes another type of ritual based on this new inclination.

-Dorotea, now I pray, and I do it with background music, I even have recordings that I know will support you. Here in this temple where I have prepared many prayers of house cleanings and we worship some gods that are qualified for it. Remember Dorotea, although I no longer practice with my stone, always the origin calls, always the ancestors engrave in the cells, the tissues and the flesh everything where they are reborn.
That is what Ella was telling Dorotea.

Then she gave Dorotea music on a flash drive and she had to play it twice a day at full volume around the house. But she also had to perform other actions.

She was to go in search of the flies' nests:
-Dorotea, somewhere in the house they must be perched and there they must be exterminated.

Then she gave Dorotea a colorless and odorless potion that she had to water it when she found the nest.

Dorotea that night searched all over the house, under the beds, inside the cupboards and suddenly remembered that in the cupboards there was a sliding shoe rack space, but she went straight to her cupboard. And when he moved the shoe rack he found a kind of small grains of rice heavier than a few grains, which were brown, some were no longer heavy at all, he could distinguish it because he moved it with a pointed piece of wood.

He immediately sprinkled the potion and started the music playing... They were prayers, whose sound was chanted by male and female voices and in the background water music, invoking names and making petitions.

She did the same for two days and collected the strange grains from her closet.

That second day when Dorotea returned home there were no more flies. And surprised she fell down sitting in an armchair contemplating the bed. Just at that moment she received a call from Ella who laughed and said to her:

-Dorotea, do you hear that sound?
It was a dry sound of something hitting a surface.
-Dorotea, are you doing the ritual? Well, I tell you that here are the flies hitting the glass of my window, as if claiming what we did.
