The inkwellprompt #37| "Halloween Party"

Miessy and her friends invited me to come to their party. It happened last Sunday and was traumatic for me because of what happened. I never thought she'd fool me since we were friends for a long time ago. I trusted her and I believed her. I didn't doubt her for just a bit. I was like a bear who wanted to be alone to survive. It's not that I hate it when the people surround me, it's just that I'm not comfortable.

"Don't be afraid, just wear a mask if you're that conscious."

She told me through the phone and I was happy with what she said. I thought she was correct, in that way I could fight the awkward feeling when people are around.

"Don't worry Paul, I will be there to accompany you."

Klaus sent a message and it encouraged me more to join the party.

I told them, yes and without noticing the time the day of the party arrived steadfastly.

I arrived at the entrance but before that, I sent a message to Miessy and Klaus that I was there waiting for them. I even told them that I wore black pants and a black t-shirt, of course, I wore a mask and a cape. I imitated the appearance of a vampire but did not reveal myself because of the mask.

"Let's go."

I was surprised when the strong wind sounded and after it, Miessy arrived. I didn't think anything since I trusted her that much even though my heart was beating so fast. It's an instinct or false presumption, I felt scared that I wanted to go home. I stepped back but Klaus all of a sudden blocked me and smiled.

"Don't be afraid, this is how you can face your fears to people."

He's reasonable that even though I was scared I decided to join in.

The sound of the gust of wind filled the room with coldness. From the time I entered the room, I felt like their costumes were real. I knew that the costume should be scary but upon seeing them it's too much. Imagine, there's a man whose head is stabbed with a knife, added with blood falling slowly. I really thought it was real but Miessy said it was just a costume though it's realistic.

"Okay," I told her as I breathed deeply.

I was extremely scared as time passed by staying in that room. It slowly faded when Sasha captured me with her cuteness and charming aura. I knew her name with the help of Klaus. She's like a fairy but it's fine to me since I love to see fairies from a long time ago.

I stared at her for so long that I saw her looking at me and smiled. My heart melted and I felt like I was falling in love with her already. She walked towards me, slowly and slowly. I wondered why it took too much time for her to reach me when I was just 30 steps away from her. Only to find out, I was dreaming awake while watching her, and all of a sudden she was beside me.

"Hi," I said to her and tried to grab her hand to introduce myself but Miessy held my hand immediately and shook her head. As if she was saying not to because it's not allowed and thanks to that, my fear went back again. When I looked back Sasha was gone anymore and my thoughts diverted into the noise of the crowd.

I didn't understand already why they were so happy cheering when they saw a jack-o-lantern was floating arriving at the stage. Added more when a pretty woman came outside of it.

"Trick or treat?"

All of them shouted and suddenly a woman wearing a black clothing shows up."

"Gil! Gil!"

"How can they be so happy when a woman just came out like that?" - I said to myself while my body was trembling because of fear.

The party started and all of them were dancing. Maybe they forgot who they truly were because I could see people were floating in the air. Some people were enjoying climbing through the walls and jumping and jumping to walls. I couldn't control my fear anymore. My body was sweating too much even though I felt so cold. I suppressed my fear that it's hard for me to breathe anymore.

"Where are you going?"

Miessy asked when she saw me stepping outside the crowd.

"Nothing," I lied.

"Don't step away from the crowd or else they will recognize your human."

She said it seriously when I confirmed that she was not joking. I didn't know what to do anymore, the feeling that you don't know where to go like being inside the prison. I felt suffocated that I had no other way to do but force myself to join the fun. It added more of my fear when I won from the raffle and asked me to be standing on that stage.

"WHAT?!" I said it to myself because I couldn't believe I was that unlucky. I didn't want to move and of course, not to be in the center of everyone and that's on stage.

"Just pretend if you don't want them to recognize you."

Miessy said it and right after she spread her wings to carry me and flew me over to that stage.

"So, Miessy is a "wak-wak?"

I said to myself while being frozen after learning the truth of her identity.

I was standing on that stage but I was desperate to go home and to go out to this party.

"What are you?"

Gil asked because she's the one who stood to all of them. I thought I needed to lie about my identity or else they would find out.

"I'm a tiktik."

When I saw what is Miessy I copied her true identity but a man version of him.

Everyone was shouting and asked Gil to remove my mask. I began to feel more afraid, without the mask they'd easily recognize me for sure. The sweat inside me was falling like water from the falls. My mind never stopped thinking about what to do. Running, or anything as long as I could escape in that room.

Fortunately, someone just opened the door as I heard the sound of a door creaking. Slowly, and finally opened and the sun was already up. I never thought that it was already morning outside because inside was very dark with just red lights on it.

I jumped to that stage but Miessy carried me to go to that door by flying.

"We're safe."

Klaus said when we arrived outside because the sun shined so brightly. I just found out that Klaus was the one who opened the door. They told me that Miessy and he were from the same clan of aswang. They were serious when they said they wanted me to have fun and to fight my fear of people. It's just that they didn't know which party they'd join while wearing a mask.

After what they did I still hated them, it's not that I disliked them. I left them while asking for my forgiveDisclaimer not in the mood to talk about it because I still couldn't believe what had happened.
