The medicine man in the church.

' I don't like that name aunty, what sort of name is that like an old man ' he objected been called Odulera. Paul is his baptism-given name. While Odulera is his birth-given name. Paul was born the same day his grandfather died. As it was the tradition, he was given his grandfather's name as it is believed that he reincarnated his grandfather. All iota of doubt was removed as Paul was having a birthmark at the same place his grandfather used to have it.

Paul was now 17 years old. Tall and handsome, a photocopy of his grandfather. Everyone believed he will succeed his grandfather to be the next onowu (Chief priests) as his power of insight was known by the whole villagers. But Paul on the other hand detest traditional worshippers, he called them the people of the flesh. He loved going to church, so dedicated and steadfast in the church activities that eventually earned him the choirmaster position.

His dilemma started when he started having a reoccurring dream seeing an old man that look so much like him when he looks at the mirror in his dreams. The old man behind the mirror in his dreams often appears and shows him some things that are about to happen or shows him some herbs to cure someone's sickness.

It was a cool Sunday morning, Paul had ironed his clothes in preparation for the Sunday service which is to start by 10:am and the time now was 7:am, sudden drowsiness fell upon his eye and he relaxed his head on the plastic chair he was sitting on and fell slept. The dream of his older self behind the mirror started again. But this time, his older self behind the mirror was crying and asking him to set him free. But first, he had to eat a scroll. (stretching his hands out of the mirror and handing the scroll to Paul) Paul collected the scroll from him and chewed it. And immediately woke up from sleep

Paul was filled with the spirit that day in the church. The ministration of the song was superb by the choir. And the choirmaster (Paul) was prophesying and declaring healing upon all that were sick. " I can walk! I can walk! " a woman who was sitting in a wheelchair jumped out of the wheelchair. " I can see" another woman shouted from the congregation. At the end of the service, 19 people received their healing that day.
