Those droids sound nasty, what are they trying to inject?
I thought about expanding on this point but instead followed Hemingway's advise that less is more.
Several possibilities entered my mind. Maybe, the droid's carry a sedative to neutralize the subject. A spooky proposition. In sci-fi, these types of nasty critters come in for the kill, but what if it just wanted to hurt you a little...? And what will it do to you once you're incapacitated?
Another possibility is that the droid has scanned the subject's DNA and determined that he/she lacks some socially desireable quality like submission to authority. Yowza! Can't have none of that.
Or...
