The trip to the Underworld

Sometimes we seek to find a lot of answers to our series of questions concerning the underworld but do we really get these answers? Read what happened to Michael and Collins

His wrist watch vibrated with a beep. He checked and saw it was already 1:00 p.m., which is his ineviable lunch time. He hyberbated his laptop and stretched forth his hand to get the flask containing his lunch. He opened it, and as he was about to have the first spoon in his mouth, Collins walked in and said, "Oh! I forgot that you usually bring food from home for lunch, I wanted to invite you to a lunch at the eatery close to our block" Collins said, hoping the young man would skip the food on the flask and follow him out for lunch.
"Ummm... Okay, you win, let's go." Michael closed his flask, got up, and followed Collins.

Collins is a new employee who loves the composure of Michael and wants to be a friend with him at all costs. That's why he always comes around seeking for lunch time with Micheal, but Michael always turns the offers down because he always brings food prepared by his wife.

They got there, ordered food, and as they were eating, Collins saw something interesting on Instagram about a sale of a crystal mirror that allows someone to travel to the underworld in a projected time. He showed it to Michael, but Michael didn't fancy it because it sounded more magical, and he believes that magic has repercussions.

"Michael, this thing looks so real. Come, come and see the testimonies of those that patronised them". Collins stretched his phone to Micheal's face to show him the written testimonies of people that patronised them.

One of the testimonies reads;

This is so real!šŸ’ƒ I was able to meet my dear late wife again via this crystal mirror. In fact, I travel to see her as often as I want now

"Oh boy, this is looking so real! I don't know how I'm falling for this, but I'm tempted to give it a try. I just want to meet my late immediate younger sister who died last year. There are lots of questions I would want to ask her about how her death happened."

"Yeah, bro! Let's give it a try and see if it's real," Collins excitedly said.
Collins went further to add the particular mirror to the cart, he paid, and was told to hold on as it's to be delivered within 5 hours.

Their lunch took longer than it was supposed to, so they hurriedly rushed back to the office to finish the work of the day.
At around 6:15 p.m., they were preparing to leave while the delivery man called Collins. He directed him, and the mirror got delivered to him with a booklet on how to use it.

"So, how are we going to test it? I suggest we go to my house and see it before you leave for your house. Call your wife and tell her that you have something to work on and you'll be coming back a little late." Collins suggested it, and Michael called his wife as Collins suggested, and off they go.

They got to Collins house, brought out the 3ft rectangular mirror along with the booklet, and kept it on the centre table.

Collins picked the booklet to read, and he was surprised to see just a few words on it, and he read it loud for Michael to hear.

"Turn off the light in the house, face the mirror, use your tongue to lick the mirror, and wish in your mind who you want to see as you journey into the underworld. You must not be there more than 10 minutes, otherwise, you'll be stuck there. More also, in anyway the mirror breaks, there are side effects if you tries to use another of our products. Good luck!"

"Stuck? 10mins? Please check if there's a way to get released if one gets accidentally stuck," Michael scaringly said.

Collins flicked through the 5-leaf booklet but didn't find anything: "There's nothing here; it's only that guideline that I read that's written here."

"Honestly, I'm scared because what if..." Michael didn't finish his statement before Collins interrupted and told him to stay calm while he try first.

Collins walked to the wall, clicked the switch and turned off the light. The crystal glass on Michael's hand glowed, Michael got scared and dropped the mirror on the floor as it got scattered in pieces.

"Ooooh God! You just spoiled the show," Collins lamented out of frustration.

"Don't you think it's a sign that we shouldn't continue?" Michael said as he walked to turn on the light.

He tried using his leg to gathered the pieces and he couldn't believe the mirror was really magical as he looked at the gathered pieces.

"Let's call it a night; I'm off." Michael got up, picked up his car keys from the table, and made his way to the door. As he was about to step out, he paused and said to Collins, "Don't try to coupling the mirror back with the piece of glass, you don't know what the effect would be. Bye." He walked out and drove away in his car.

Collins, on the other hand, who was ready to arrange the mirror back, got weakend at Michael's warning before he left.

"Goosh!" He used his hands to hit his legs out of frustration on how Michael spoiled the show they were about to pull.

He went for the broom, swept the floor, packed the glasses in a nylon bag, strolled out of his compound, and disposed it off into the bush in the street.

Although he had the intention of trying it again by ordering another crystal mirror, but the warning on the booklet stated that it's one mirror to one, and if he tries to use another one, the side effects are sure. So he killed the idea.
