SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE BEGINNING AND FOREVER

Mat: *he finally gets to rest after putting her to sleep an hour ago*

*arms around her*

Mhirfa: *woke up*

*turns around to face him*

Mat: *felt her restlessness in his arms*

*held her tighter to to keep her still*

Mhirfa: *puffs her cheeks full of air*

"Am hungry!"

Mat: *just tries to ignore her, and hopefully she goes to sleep*

Mhirfa: *raised her voice*

"Am hungry!!"

Mat: *just pretended to sleep, and hopefully she goes to sleep too*

Mhirfa: *furios*

*slips down his arms*

Mat: *realizing what she intends to do, he immediately grabs her by the waist...*

*...then rolled on top of her*

"I'm awake... I'm awake,"

Mhirfa: “Am hungry!!!”

Mat: *rest his head on her shoulder*

"What do you want to eat?"

Mhirfa: "Ah... don't know,"

"Hmmmm..."

"...you?"

*giggles*

Mat: *a soft inaudible curse left his mouth*

*exhaled*

"We still have instant noodles, the left over meat this morning and some veggy cut offs..."

"...I can probably make something out of it."

Mhirfa: "Kay!"

*she put her arms around his neck...*

*...then wrapped her legs around his waist*

Mat: *kissed her on the forehead*

*he snake an arm around her back*

"Here we go,"

Mhirfa: *clung tightly*

Mat: *grunted as he lift her off the bed*

*he slowly walked towards the corner table of the small room their renting*

Mhirfa: *overextending to reach the light*

Mat: *he was getting out balance*

"Ghad! Be careful, will you?"

*walks towards the light switch*

Mhirfa: *flips the switch*

*her eyes watered as the light hit her*

Mat: *still half asleep he continued towards his destination*

*gently placed her on top of the table*

"Let go now, I need to cook."

Mhirfa: *kissed him before letting go*

*grabs his pants as he walks away*

*giggles*

Mat: "Hell..."

*gave her a weak smile*

*took hold of her hand and returned it to her*

Mhirfa: *pouts*

*jumps down the table and sat on the chair*

Mat: *prepared to cook*

*Checks the instant noodles instruction guide on how to cook, to avoid making a mistake*

• Bring 2 1/2 cups of water to a boil... yes, make sure it's boiling
• Drop the noodles — GENTLY!
• Cover and let it cook for about 2 minutes, but don't get too complacent, check the noodles texture and stir if needed
• While waiting prepare the bowl, seasonings, left over meat and veggy cut offs
• When satisfied with the noodles, remove from heat
• Serve it over a bowl, add seasonings and mix... again gently
• Add the veggy cut offs, make sure you wash them and only put the edible ones
• Then add the meat
• Lastly, serve it hot and with a smile...

"I am done,"

Mhirfa: *waiting happily at the table*

Mat: It's hot — take care..."

*left her to her devices and made instant coffee for himself*

Mhirfa: *ate her hearts fill*

He eventually fell asleep like that for 12 years ( in time of writing ) and counting.
