The inkwell prompt #43/ Maya's Game

Do you believe you can do this Maya?

Her mentor asked, with a shivering tone she replied I will try my best sir.

But we have done this again and again. Why are you discouraged?

Or are you afraid? He asked.

Sir, I am nervous that I might even lose the first round.

Those guys are better than me, she said to her instructor.

Nobody is better than you, Maya.

You are you and can not compare yourself to anyone, you are special and you can do it all you need to do is just BELIEVE and all you need to do is just to keep it at heart that you can do it, no one is better than you, her instructor said to her.

You are great my dear Maya.

Maya was a bit encouraged by the words from her instructor.

She walked into the chess room. It was an international game for four countries selected as the best who came in with their participants for the competition.

It's a competition with a reward worth $50,000 for the first runner.

Who would not want to be Deschner of such an amazing prize, every country came with their best.

Maya sat directly opposite her a Korean guy the confidence on his face made her even more nervous that she was going to go loose.

They played the first round he won her the second round she won and the last round where the more winning but something occurred.

He made a wrong move out of overconfidence and that was the end of the game Maya won that stage. It qualified her for the last stage of the game where she will meet a Chinese guy who is equally good in the game.

At this time stands the chance of either being the winner or second runner, but the unfortunate incident is that the reward is for only the first runner.

So who is likely to give up for the other person?

Maya was good in the first round. It was a good start but the second round wasn't good enough since the Chinese guy beat her to it.

Then the last round was not easy for both of them as it was a draw.

Then another round, but then judges discovered the Chinese contestant was wearing microchips on his ears. They investigated and discovered had been cheating.

That act automatically disqualified him and that made Maya the winner for that game.

The excitement on Maya's face showed how greatly excited she was when she was announced the winner.
