The ink well fiction prompt#55/ The street of Mumbai.

Jerry kept wondering if such a place does exist.

His eyes could not believe what he was seeing was real. Dad, he turns to his father?

No, they are not real, you are watching from a cinema, his father answered as he looked awkwardly at his son who is asking a stupid question at the moment.

How on earth will you see something with your eyes and still ask if they are real or not?

But Dad you know I have never been to this place, is that an excuse to justify your question? Jerry's Dad asked, hey boy you are old enough to get over these irrelevant questions of yours.

A retired African soldier, Jerry's father, trust me he won't entertain just any question from the young boy.

This place is wow, I have never thought that such a place like this existed. His mouth was wide open as they strolled around with his Dad.

The streets of Mumbai is one city in the world that anyone would like to visit because of how beautiful the place looks.

It was night and Jerry loved the lights on the street, the bridge and the massive building. India has got such a lovely view, no wonder people always visit the place, Jerry ponders right within him as they move slowly, other people are also there with their children.

But Jerry has got one problem, the camera of his phone is cracked and so for that reason, he is unable to take shots as he saw more beautiful and amazing things that he would have loved to share with his friends showing them good evidence with the pictures he will snap.

Dad, please can I use your phone? For what!!! Jerry's Dad is a bit tough and doesn't tolerate any kind of shit from anyone, not even his son.

The lens of your phone is sharper than mine so I want to use your phone to take the picture then transfer it to mine Jerry lied knowing fully well that his father will not take it easy with him if he makes mention of cracking his phone's camera. He knew since the phone his Dad bought for him is barely 2 months.

Well, I can't risk my phone here just because you want to take pictures.

Jerry knew his Dad would not give him the phone. He only wanted to try his luck. Perhaps he might be lucky this time but the outcome came as expected.

But Jerry his Dad called his attention, yes Dad, you have got a better and sharper lens that is even better than that of my phone.

Dad I don't have any other camera with me to do all the snapping, I know his Dad responded.

Then which other lens are you talking about Jerry asked his Dad.

"YOUR EYES" Jerry's father replied.

"But we keep these for future purposes," Jerry said.

And don't tell me you have a bad memory Jerry's father replied.
