"Then we must learn not to put out the fire that gives light to our path."
That was Joe's word to the almighty JHK enterprise before he left.
A well-known organization that helps keep the economy moving by encouraging the traders in the market to take loans from them ( JHK ) to enable them ( TRADERS ) to enlarge their coast making their trade a big one.
JHK is known for lending money to business enterprises and charges low-interest rates as refunds.
Joe has been the key when it comes to customer service. He has done marvellously well in that aspect as that is the part that lights up the organisation.
But then Joe, being the best among his colleagues, never had issues with any of them. Instead, he aligned with everyone just like he treats the customers, all are his friends and that has made him top the game in his area of specialisation.
He is always the talk of the company; he has won numerous awards for his work. He does his work with all diligence and he is transparent in all he does.
The management will always entrust so many of the activities to him regardless of his other colleagues but Joe being who he is will always carry his colleagues along as he loves teamwork as well.
But then Ben, one of Joe's colleagues, has always been jealous of Joe. All possible attempts to outsmart Joe proved to be abortive as Joe is too good at what he does.
I have been in this company before this guy but this Joe of a guy is making his way swiftly into the heart of the management. They so love him and never regard me again.
Everything they do is always Joe if not Joe then no one.
Ben made the management believe that Joe has been using his smartness to take from the company as not all customers who register under him are brought to the company.
He made them believe that Joe has been using the name of the company for his selfish benefit. That's after conniving with a few people to stand as a false witnesses against Joe, that authenticated his claims against Joe and without further inquiry the management went on to fire Joe, relieving him of his duty.
That single act was the beginning of the downfall of JHK. They lost customers within a short period. The fire began to go down slowly and it came at a time when no one was coming because Ben was not able to stand the gap. He was the harsh type and his attitude drove customers away.
And with time the company was no longer meeting the target and that led to a waste of resources they couldn't pay their staff anymore so the best for them was to lay off some staff and that act affected Ben who could not keep the fire burning.
Then he realized how bad he has been to himself and to the people he was working with.
But then it was already late.
If you can not maintain the fire and keep it burning to joke with the person doing it as his actions will do everyone well since the brightness of the fire will not be restricted to where it shines.
