Yen and Galen were married for three years, and they were living a happy life together with their two kids. Yen was energetic and full of life, and her longings were only for adventures. In their three years of marriage, they went to Scotland, UAE, and America to spend their holidays, so they hardly saved anything for their rainy days. Although he was a manager in textile mill, and she was working as Head of Female Staff in Private Company, but still they hadn't any savings due to the lavishing life they were spending.
Although, Galen was a responsible person in some ways, but still his love for his wife forced him to fulfill her every wish. This year she was also insisting her husband to spend their Christmas and New year holidays in the Maldives. "Galen...please say yes..! We are in home for one year, but now I am tired of the same routine...so I want some change...!" Yen said when she was trying her best to convince Galen.
At first, he was reluctant due to the lack of money, but at last he agreed to take her wife to the Maldives for holidays. He said, "I only want to see you happy...if this is your wish, I will definitely take you there." Yen was screaming with excitement. She added, "O my lovely husband...I was sure, you wouldn't say no to me."
He applied for loan in his company, and booked their tickets for the Maldives. Yen was excited about this trip, she started to pack their bags, and finally they were ready to left for airport. They reached there at 6pm and their flight time was 8pm, so after the boarding their airplane flies and landed safely after 4 hours and 44 minutes. They reached at Arena Beach Hotel, and booked their room for 15 days.
After having some rest, next morning they were all set to visit Utheemu, which holds special place in the Maldives due to its beauty and charm. They also went to visit COMO Cocoa Island, Seagull Cafe, Emboodhu Finolhu Island and Artificial Beach. The trip was of 15 days, but now only 3 days were left, so their next plan was to visit Alimatha Island which is fully Packed with sun-kissed beaches. They wanted to make this trip memorable, so they never let any day go in waste.
Finally, they arrived at the sun-kissed beaches, and after taking some shots, Galen decided to have a long ride in Pontoon Boat, he was excited, so he asked his wife to make a video. " Yen.. hold a camera and record my video to kept as a memory. " But no one was aware about the coming calamity. At first, Galen was enjoying the ride, but when he was returning to the shore, suddenly something happened and his boat overturned, he was screamed,
"Help....help..Yen, please help me"
He couldn't utter more, and drowned in the beach.
Yen was also screaming to see her husband drowning,
"Help, help....please help...!!!"
Although the rescue arrived at the time, but they couldn't find Galen. After searching for two days, they finally informed Yen that,
"Sorry Mam! But we couldn't find the dead body of your husband...!!"
She was shocked and deeply in pain, so couldn't utter a world. Her happiness to celebrate new year holidays, were changed into mourning, and she lost a husband who never let the tears come in her eyes. So finally she returned with her two kids, but still she was unable to believe the departure of her husband.
Now, life started to show her the real colors of the world. Her bags and bank accounts were already empty due to her lavishing behavior, she also lost a job due to the long gap she took after the death of her husband. She tried hard to find a job to raise her two children, but her luck was not in her favor, so she couldn't find any source of income, and life become hard for her.
Her everyday passed in mourning for her loss, and she considers herself the cause of her husband's death. She was used to uttering these words to herself in her seclusion,
"Damn, you are the cause of his death...You and only you...!!! Now go to visit Australia..no instead go somewhere else...!! Go...enjoy your life... Just go to hell.... This is the best place for you."
Three years have been passed in this mourning, there was no one to help her, and her life was a torment for her. She could hardly manage to get food for her children for once a day. This time the new year was also approaching, and memories of her husband's death were flourishing again in her mind. One day in a cloudy evening she was sitting with fire, while she uttered,
"Your memories are still in my heart, new, firm and more strong. Life without you is like torment...wish.. She sighs.! Wish I couldn't insist you to spend our holidays there...I wish..!"
Suddenly she heard a knock on her door, she asked one of her kid to open the door, but they were not around, so herself went to open it. But when she opened the door, someone utter some words,
**Happy New Year My Love...! **🎉
She was shocked to see, and her eyes couldn't believe on what she saw there..!! Who was there? Galen? Yes.....he was Galen..! Actually he was survived in an incident, an old man helped him and kept him in his house for three years. Finally, after collecting enough money to buy his ticket, he was back to his homeland.
Yen was speechless, and there were tears in her eyes, Galen was also weeping to see her wife after a long time. They both hugged each other.
"OMG....where you were? Do you know how much I missed you in your absence, I can't put into words, Please never leave me alone again."
"I will never"...Galen replied wiping her tears, they both were united again, and promised to live a happy and responsible life together from 2022. The new year brought happiness in their life again.
