The Inkwell Writing Prompt: The Love Note

It was Monday, September 8, the first day of resumption. Students were all neatly dressed in their white and black uniforms. The exuberance in the youthful student could be noticed as they played around the school environment, some swinging while others played games on the field next to the principal office. Juliet sat on the pavilion admiring James a new student who had earlier introduced himself in the class, he was tall, handsome, intelligent, and muscular, the exact characteristics she wants in a guy.
"Hey, Juliet", Paul one of the troublemakers in the class who was Juliet's friend called as he tickled her from the back.
"What are you looking at?" He asked.
"Nothing" she lied, "I just felt like watching the boys playing football"
"But you've never loved football"
"Yeah, but decided to today"
Just when Paul was about to ask her further questions, Sandra called her to join them to go see the mathematics teacher before the break ends.
"See you later Paul".

Juliet continually stared at James who was sitting in the back row. The feeling was strange, she couldn't explain why she felt she had known him even though they just met.
"Please can you lend me your note?"
She raised her head to see James standing next to her, her heart leaped.
"Mhmm..em.. wh...ich no..te?" She asked stammering
" Biology, I want to jot down today's note" James replied.
" Here," she said handing the note to him.
She left home happy that she had a chance to speak to James who had preferred to ask of her note to other members of the class.

Over time they became very close friends. They learned and did their assignments together. James was in love with Juliet but was unable to express it. One faithful day while in class, he handed over a note properly sealed to Juliet, written on it "Don't open until you get home". Juliet received the note and smiled as she slipped it into her bag.
She couldn't wait to get home to open the note James had given to her, her heartbeat faster as she unsealed it and brought out the note that was written in blue ink.

Hey Juliet,
I want you to know that I admire you, and I hope you'll give me a chance to go on a date with you.

She wrote back a reply and eagerly await the day to break. Mr. Kefas the mathematics teacher was done with his teaching that day and requested that the students submit their assignments for marking.
It was when Juliet had given her mathematics book to the Maths teacher that she remembered she had put the reply she wrote for James in that book.
