Aprovechando los días libres subimos a conocer la famosa Monserrate, un sitio turístico en Bogotá en lo más alto de la montaña.
Este lugar esta ubicado en Carrera 62 #161b-4, tiene una altitud de 3152 metros y tienen aproximadamente 16 millones de años de antigüedad, con rocas de edad cretácica, (que pertenece a la Era Mesozoica).
Taking advantage of the free days, we went up to see the famous Monserrate, a tourist site in Bogotá at the top of the mountain.

Lo más atractivo de la visita, aparte del contenido histórico del lugar, los vendedores de artesanía y los técitos calientes para el frío muy fuerte que hace, es el juego de luces que había en el lugar.
Mucha gente sube a Monserrate en diciembre y principios de enero para ver las luces y admirar la ciudad desde las alturas en la noche.
The most attractive part of the visit, apart from the historical content of the place, the handicraft vendors and the hot tea for the very cold that it is, is the play of lights that were in the place.
Many people go up to Monserrate in December and early January to see the lights and admire the city from above at night.
Para acceder a la montaña hay varias formas, subiendo unas escaleras (para deportistas o personas que pagan promesas), a través de un funicular y en teleférico. Todas esas formas tienen distintos costos y rutas.
Como nosotros subimos de noche y nuestro mayor interés era ver la ciudad y el juego de luces subimos por funicular, que iba tan lleno que no pude ni sacar el celular para hacerles unas fotos.
To access the mountain there are several ways, climbing stairs (for athletes or people who pay promises), through a funicular and by cable car. All these ways have different costs and routes.
As we went up at night and our main interest was to see the city and the play of lights, we went up by funicular, which was so crowded that I couldn't even take out my cell phone to take pictures of them.
Fue una experiencia maravillosa, muy bonito el lugar, la verdad recomiendo ir a visitarlo.
