It doesn't realize that we have entered the end of January, time flies so quickly, it feels like just yesterday that we entered 2023, we have certainly felt various experiences at the beginning of this year, whether good or bad, stay grateful because we are still given the pleasures of this life, enjoy day after day with full of sincerity, and hope all is well
Today is a weekend that I will never forget for the rest of my life, 4 hours that I feel very precious today, where I walked on the beach in my village and also in neighboring villages, don't know where to start, two different locations different on the same day with a different story, I thank @galenkp who has formed this community, where me and all of us can share our weekend experiences here, and this is an unforgettable moment today
Unlike usual, this weekend I was just walking on the beach which is not far from my house, and the beginning of today's journey we start from a beach location where a fishermen's housing complex was established, right behind the fishermen's house there is several boats perched on the beach, some of which are being repaired, and have not been able to go out to sea, and lately, people around this beach location often spend their time in the afternoon on this beach, because of the location and the scenery here quite beautiful and very worth visiting, even though it is in a remote area and rarely known by outsiders
As soon as I arrived at the location, I was immediately greeted by a small boat that was right in front of the shop that I stopped by, the wind was blowing, the sound of the waves singing made the atmosphere feel very comfortable, accompanied by a cup of coffee of course it would add to the existing comfort, from in the distance I saw a group of children playing ball on the beach, and as soon as my coffee cup was empty, I immediately combed the coast on foot
The first group of ball players was seen, these were teenagers with about 20 players, they chose a location with water, but I wasn't interested in watching this game, it was too stiff and boring, so I moved on to the next group who made their field a few meters from here
The second group, the game has just started, the goalkeeper has passed the ball to the great defender that his team has, the ball goes to the opponent quickly, but unexpectedly, the counterattack launched by the opposing team is also very fast and in the blink of an eye , the ball is back in front of the goal, look at one of the players who laughs loosely, he even falls on the sand, it's not a victory laugh, but it's a laugh of happiness because the goalkeeper has created an own goal🤣, even here I laugh when I see this moment
On the other hand, the other groups are also seen playing the same game, well some of these small players have been stranded, they look tired, or maybe they are just backup🤭😅, seeing their faces that are a little lethargic so I don't bother them and move to the ocean side where the ladies are playing and bathing in the sea with their respective families
The ladies are busy with their own business, some look cool bathing in the sea and some are just walking around while enjoying the ice cream in their hands, but what the ladies don't forget is their style when someone is taking their picture, and sharp glances too. can they miss, haha, they glanced at me with a look full of question marks, in their hearts they thought I was a weirdo, but after walking away, fingers and smiles for photo poses happened, even those who initially only glanced at it finally laughed happily, believe it or not, I got free ice cream from this little ladies gang😁
After feeling satisfied to be here I started heading home by driving on this beach, at first I wanted to go home immediately, but after arriving at the beach in my village, I saw a group of fishermen had just finished putting their catch in baskets, and about to anchor their nets again a second time, so I stopped and spent about two hours in this place
The fishermen's first catch was very satisfying, a large fish was successfully caught and one of the fishermen saw a happy smile, the boat was pushed back into the ocean to set the net again, and this fishing process is a tradition that has existed for a long time. we call it TAREK PUKAT a word that has a very meaningful meaning for us aceh people, even a dance was also formed with this name, while waiting for the net to be pulled again, I started walking and looking at the atmosphere on the beach this, it's been a long time since I played to the beach in my village
This is the beauty that can be seen at the location of the beach in my village, over the past few years, the waves have continued to erode the coast so that it has almost reached land, this is actually very unfortunate and requires special attention from the government to preserve nature, if there is no breakwater, so you can't imagine how this beach will be in the next few years,
When I was little, I used to go to this beach very often, and while waiting for the boat to return, I reminisced a bit about my past here, while playing in the sand like children 😅, to be honest, I really missed my dad at that time, he was the one who often brought me here, right under the coconut tree that had almost fallen down, there used to be a small hut here where we used to spend the night looking for crabs, the memory came back to my mind and my tears just came out, a scream from a small child surprised me who said that the boat that anchors the net has returned, and it's time to TAREK PUKAT
This is the boat that is used to anchor the net to the ocean, the distance can be up to 500 meters from the mainland and it takes about 30 minutes to anchor this net, after the boat is anchored on the edge then what I'm waiting for begins, I even help to pull the fishing net
This is what is called TAREK PUKAT, pukat means net, while tarek means pull, so, tarek trawl means pulling nets to get fish, and this is done in groups, or more precisely, working together mutual cooperation, and this has become our ancestral heritage and is still being carried out today, with the aim of strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among the community, especially fishermen, they even invite their children to play while helping out, and this process is not easy , even though it was pulled by many people, it was still tiring. It took more than half an hour to pull this net against the current
It's not an easy job for me, less than 5 minutes I immediately gave up and couldn't walk anymore, my whole ankle and hand hurt😅, but I still enjoyed this great moment
It was getting dark, the sun was almost setting, the ocean waves were starting to set, and the rain started to drizzle, but the fishermen were still eager to pull their nets, the rain was not an obstacle for these great people, they were used to going through thunderstorms, rain was just food every day on the high seas, said one of the fishermen, and I really appreciate and admire his enthusiasm
After waiting for almost an hour, it turned out that fate said otherwise, not many fish were caught this time, in contrast to the first catch which was very satisfying for the fishermen, but they were still enthusiastic and did not complain at all, they even apologized to us because there were no results. that we can photograph, I swear, my heart can no longer hold back the sadness and awe, the emotions that are overflowing are unstoppable, I really salute their tough attitude, and to be honest, I also know that this is not solely to make money, TAREK PUKAT is a legacy, I should also preserve this heritage, not only the fishermen, I am embarrassed when I hear their words, even though I am also a person who has an obligation to continue to preserve this culture, therefore I also ask sorry to these great people, my journey today was extraordinary, I got a lot of experience and motivation from this journey
Before leaving this place, I said goodbye and also asked for permission to post their faces here, the kind response from them I will never forget for the rest of my life, a last photo I took as a closing and a part of the sign that today is an extraordinary day ever I experienced, the most precious 4 hours in my life, and I really hope to experience this again one day
