I hope you're doing good 😊 Today I come back again and I would like to continuously tell you about my weekend experiences in the Quang Ngai trip. As my article, I had introduced to you a classic coffee shop that I accidentally found while walking around my motel. And now, I am very excited to share with you about the special cuisine of Quang Ngai that I had a chance to try and a wonderful place that I visited. Let me show you some of the details below!
This is our first time to Quang Ngai city for a trip, so we don't know some delicious eatery to enjoy the food and some great places to visit. However, I have a close friend in university, he was born and raised in Quang Ngai, I think he is very knowledgeable about the places here, so I contacted and asked him about restaurants and delicious food in Quang Ngai city. After about 20 minutes, he did not hesitate to send us a lot of places and recommend us to the special dishes here. Besides, he sent us both the name of the restaurant and the address for us to find easily, I feel grateful for that. After receiving the addresses, we quickly went to the eateries by motorbike which we had rented from the motel.
The first place we went there was at 02 Le Dai Hanh street, this is a barbeque eatery. According to my friend, this is one of the dishes that cannot be missed when coming to Quang Ngai, and also a specialty here. As you can see, upon arrival, most of the tables were filled with many people, so we waited about 5 minutes to be seated. There are dishes such as grilled beef, grilled pork, grilled beef in lolot leaf, Vietnamese fried corn rolls, and you can choose combos of all types or choose individual dishes. All grilled dishes are served with a very special sauce, which is peanut sauce, but if you don't like or can't eat this sauce, you can order sweet and sour sauce. To eat this dishes, you need to have rice paper and lots of Vietnamese vegetables such as lettuce, chives, perilla leaves, bean sprouts, wild banana, figs, etc. The way to eat it is that you need to have a rice paper, then put some Vietnamese vegetables you can eat, next put the grilled meat on top, and finally you roll it. And then you dip it with peanut sauce and enjoy, you know, it's really delicious ^^. The price of a plate of meat as shown in the picture is 120,000 VND, I think it is suitable for two people to eat.
After eating, we rode motorbike along the river and saw an outdoor snack shop nearby, and this is also one of the places that my friend recommended before, so we parked the motorbike nearby and entered the shop. There are a variety of snacks here such as grilled dishes, mixed dishes, fried foods for you to choose from. We ordered 2 dishes here, grilled rice paper and grilled Vietnamese fermented pork roll. This is my first time trying grilled Vietnamese fermented pork roll, I think it's not delicious, but when I bit it, it was extremely watery and crunchier than I imagined, and the special thing is that the taste was completely different from fermented pork rolls I ate in other provinces. This dish is more delicious when eaten with some chives and Ly Son garlic, which is a special type of garlic in this area. Besides, we also tried a lot of different dishes at Quang Ngai during our days here such as steamed thin rice pancake, eel congee, seafood, pancakes, etc. I have to admit that all the dishes that I tried in Quang Ngai are extremely delicious. Honestly, it's not a waste of time and money to experience the food here!
After filling my hungry stomach, I started to go to a place where I could reach the lighthouse, which is Ba Lang An Lighthouse Station. To get to the beach, we had to drive out of the city for about 25 minutes, along the riverside road. This place is mainly inhabited by locals, this place is quite few tourists visit because this place is not a prominent destination when it comes to Quang Ngai. The reason I chose this place as my next destination is because it is quite close to the city center, and this is also a place that my friend recommended before. When I arrived, I saw the scenery here is very peaceful, blue sky, blue sea, and white sand, everything blends together to create an extremely beautiful picture of nature.
Moving up a bit, we see a very beautiful place, that is Ba Lang An Lighthouse Station, from this place you can see the whole sea and the mountains in the distance. In particular, there is a rather large lighthouse located in the center of this area, I took a few pictures to keep memories and posted on facebook ^^ After visiting and taking pictures around here, we sat for a while, breathing in the very fresh air and listening to the sound of the waves. I feel like I'm being healed, you know what I mean? I really like that feeling, I believe that if you stay here and enjoy such a space, I think you will definitely like this.
