Classical Music Became My Destiny | Weekend-Engagement 201

I would love you to play this beautiful music from the video to accompany the reading of this post, as it is the feeling I wish to convey. This concert of the Simon Bolivar National Choir took place almost two years ago, conducted by French Maestro Christophe Talmont, and it was the first time we performed Fauré's Requiem.... Extra points for whoever can recognize me within the choral mass 😅

I'm glad to write again for my favorite weekend community on Hive, and although there are many topics to talk about, I'm always going to have a natural inclination towards music. I am a lover of all musical genres, even several old ones like Rock N' Roll and country, or any popular music from any country, everything has magic in its particular sound, but as a child I never imagined that my path in music was going to be so linked to classical music...

Today I live this lifestyle. My playlists are full of pop, thecno, country, r&b, lots of ballads and artists like The Beatles, Elvis Presley and lots and lots of Shakira's music, and although it's quite an extensive music collection of about 5000 songs that I have collected over the years, I end up listening to classical music every day, and not for work, it's just that now it's a passion.

I am very grateful to life for having come this far, because before it was just a preference and now I live classical music. My life has changed around it, I think I can no longer sing in any other way than the technique of lyrical singing, also in the artistic environment I think we are the musicians who dress more elegant and in the most classical way, and I love that this does not change, in fact wearing a tailcoat to make music is totally inspiring.

Classical music takes you to the most elegant theaters in your country or the world, depending on the level of the group you are in, and in recent years I have also known the glamour of living from tours, concerts, roads and hotels, it really is a very special world, but to reach it you have to leave your life in the studio, a study that is for life, but that the effort of the early years brings great rewards in such a competitive world.

Another thing I love about the classical music world is that those artists that I love to listen to for hours I can see them live and even work with them, because they are not as unattainable as pop music artists. Last year I was able to hug Placido Domingo and then we sang in one of his concerts. I have listened to that great man for hours since I was a teenager, and it has been the same with other stars of this musical genre with whom we have shared, but Plácido and Gustavo Dudamel will always be my favorites.

At this moment I wouldn't change my life for anything and my musical tastes are getting stronger and stronger towards classical music. Whether vocal or instrumental, it conveys all emotions and in a world where there is so much noise it is a luxury to hear the legato of a violin, the sweetness of a flute, the depth of sound of a tuba, the vibrations on my skin caused by the strength of a tympani, the majesty of a symphonic choir or the cooing of a Soprano singing "O Mio Babbino Caro". I think it is the most pleasurable music to listen to...
