WEEKEND-ENGAGEMENT 207: IN DEFENSE OF MY FAMILY AND COUNTRY AS A LEADER AND A PATRIOT โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ง

Life is full of experiences both the desired or undesired ones. The undesired ones sometimes called the "unforseen contingencies" also makes life interesting as it adds it touch to it. One of the undesired unforseen contingency is that of a war in a country either internally or externally. War can arise as a result of many factors including unresolved conflicts, broken agreements, trespass and so on.
It is good to live ready or stay prepared at all times even as a country and that's why the nation has it's military force saddled with this responsibility.

However, there are times that the millitary personnels might not be enough to earn victory for a country in a war and there is need to conscript able and fitted men so as to protect, defend and safeguard the nation and even their families at large. For example, this scenario has occurred by history in some wars that happened in my country (Nigeria) then especially the civil war where the youths of some tribes were trained and armed by a warlord to fight in a battle. This is needed because war is a "game of number", the more the better and assurance of impending victory.

One of the best thing to do is to be a patriot who is willing and ready to serve his/her country. Heroes and heroines are patriots at one time or the other. Patriotism should come above selfish or personal biases and infact, should come first above ethnicity, race or any other preference. I, been a good patriot and leader by my antecedents in the past will choose to go to the war and defend my country if conscripted in. I believe a life lived for one's family and compatriots is a good one and shows strong value for human life and existence.

I was raised with some para-millitary trainings through belonging to the "Royal Ambassadors" which is Church-based organization by the virtue of me been a Baptist as a young boy. Likewise, i was at a time a member of the "Man-O-War" which is a para-millitary organization based in my country. In addition, i went through and successfully completed the mandatory one year national service in my country where we undergo some para-millitary trainings aswell been camped together under the direct involvement of the military and other security forces.

I believe that me agreeing to this conscription will be a valuable addition to the manpower needed to overcome the war hereby safeguarding my family and the nation at large. The truth is that there are more dangers involved in not going as victory comes only by going and defending rather than sitting back. The truth is that it takes love, sacrifice and selflessness to do this but it really worth it. The question is that would there have been my country if the heroes/heroines we made reference to now didn't stand up to defend it from the enemy's attack back then?

In all, no citizen of another country or even foreigners will defend a country the way a true citizen of that country would do. The love for family and motherland is a good one which needs to be encouraged and appreciated. A call to service is a good call and a noble one. Thank you for reading.

This is my entry to weekend-engagement 207 answering the question on; "Going to war or objecting facing a jail term? Thank you for reading and i wish us all a great weekend. Comments, contributions and suggestions are welcomed.
