Happy weekend to everyone @weekend experiences community and i wish us a restful weekend. It's another weekend-engagement this weekend and it's a delight to participate in weekend engagement once again where various topics of importance are discussed which has so much value and content to learn from. This week, i will like to share on a particular good habit of mine and how i have gained alot from this singular habit. I believe it will worth the reading, kindly read through even as i delve deep into this, thank you.

This particular good habit that has worked wonders for me over time is PUNCTUALITY. As simple as keeping to time looks, i found out that it is a major habit one should develop over time because it is highly rewarding. Punctuality as commonly said "is the soul of business" and I believed that nobody likes disappointment nomatter what. This good habit has been developed in me right from childhood by my parents and family members and this makes me become easily noticeable nomatter where i find myself or maybe. Let me reiterate it that it takes much effort and dilligence to be a punctual person especially in this present time where the value for the worth of time as a precious asset is getting eroded.

By my punctuality, i became easily noticeable in my Primary, Secondary and even University days that i was privilege to held these positions; timekeeper (twice), head boy, prefect boy, health prefect boy and group leader (laboratory and discussion group). Also, based on this same habit of punctuality, i was privileged to be the instrumentalists coordinator, assistnt choir director, music record keeper etc.
I have attended several programs, seminars and meetings where because of my punctuality puts me on a leverage above those that came late e.g. materials, items, food shared and meaningful connections because of the saying that "first come, first served" i.e. attended to.

In addition, there were several attendance taken in class then during my undergraduate days in which i was part of few students in class and it was graded adding to my scores. Even after university graduation and during national service year, by this same noticeable good habit, i became the Community Development Service exco and also a leader in the lodge i stayed even in a foreign land. I remembered how i was a part of those who were trained and priviledge to be Covid-19 safety officers with some benefits based on selection by punctuality and attendance in community development meetings even in a foreign land (far north) because im from the Southern part of my country.

Furthermore, in present/recent time, i was given a certificate of service based on the punctuality and participation in matters relating to my chosen professional career even amidst my colleagues. In all, i have found it true that punctuality which requires dilligence, efforts, determination, planning etc as it sub-units makes a person visible and opened to opportunities as people count it as a sign of seriousness and has a level of trust with recognition alongside. Same habit of punctuality, different gains of recognition, development and rewards. Thank you for reading and i hope it's worthwhile right?
