I love nature and enjoying it translates into appreciating life, appreciating what we are, what surrounds us, I am lucky to live in a place surrounded by beautiful places where you can be in direct contact with nature, today I share with you a nice memory of a great day in a beautiful natural park, where this beautiful waterfall reminds us how majestic and imposing nature is.

This park is located in the town of bailadores, a beautiful town in my state of Merida, Venezuela, is a town that is dedicated mainly to agriculture, growing vegetables such as carrots, cabbage, some fruits like strawberries and especially the cultivation of roses. Its climate is cold, the afternoons are covered with thick clouds. In general it is a charming place where you can spend an excellent weekend.

In 2011, visiting the Bailadores Waterfall known as the Caru Indian Waterfall, was my birthday present. My friends and my partner knew that I love this kind of places, so they organized a visit to the waterfall and this has been undoubtedly one of the best birthdays of my life.

The Caru Indian Waterfall, contains a legend of love that is well known to us merideños, this legend tells that the Dancing Indians were celebrating the engagement of the Caru Indian with the son of a chieftain. Happiness overflowed, but in the midst of this many Indians were killed including the fiancé of Caru, then she full of pain carried the body to the top of the mountain, hoping that one of their gods would return the life to his great love, after several days she could not continue and dies with her fiancé and her tears were collected and thrown giving rise to this waterfall that represents true love.

Since you start the trip to this park, you begin to enjoy nature, breathe fresh air in the middle of a pleasant climate, upon arrival you find craft stores, where they sell souvenirs, strawberries with cream and hot drinks, some containing alcohol. The first thing we did when we arrived was to go through these stalls and buy a bottle of liquor, a traditional liquor of the Andean people, which is a hot drink made with panela or papelón flavored with herbs such as fennel. They are usually hot drinks due to the cold of the area.

As you enter the park, you can observe many stone paths, with leafy trees, several streams, small huts built of wood, where you can spend a pleasant time, even make barbecues, we took the opportunity to walk around the whole place, before starting to climb a series of stairs, amid jokes and pleasant conversations between friends.

When we were climbing the stairs, we began to feel the breeze, so we got a little wet, you get to the top and it is amazing the height of this waterfall and the force with which the water falls, it was impressive as a beautiful rainbow was formed because after the rain began to come out a bright sun. For me it was a very exciting moment to be in that place and if I could I would come back again and again.

In this place the time flew by, we had a lot of fun, a respite from the routine and everyday life, around 6 pm begin to evict people as a security measure, since the fog envelops the whole place and it is easy to lose sight, so we returned very happy to the house where we stayed that weekend, closing this beautiful day with my birthday cake.
