Hello everyone! How's your day? I hope you are all fine and safe with all the graces from the Lord. Last Sunday, we celebrated Mother's Day! Right? How did you celebrate Mothers Day? Well as for me, I'm not used to it but because of my kids, we usually had dinner outside as our way of celebrating this significant event in the lives of all mothers all over the world. As for my mother giving gifts to her was the usual thing we do. This is to remind of how we valued, loved, and cared for her as our mother.

Before having our get-together dinner with family, we went to school to pick up the essential documents needed in order to finish my task. I am planning to be absent on the following day because I will accompany my husband for CT Scan and other laboratories needed for his follow-up check-up. When we went home, we agreed to take a detour and stroll at Banban, Bogo City. This barangay is one of the remotest barangay in town.

The first time I visited this place was when I am 6 years old. My auntie brought me to this place to celebrate the town fiesta. The second visit is when we were invited by the barangay captain's birthday. I was not able to appreciate the nice views on our way since we went there late at night already. This time, I enjoyed strolling and looking at the green lush and flourishing vegetation of the field, trees, mountains, and plantation. These views were alluring and captivating to our eyes. With this, I realized how wonderful and beautiful is God's creation.

As we went along, this structure, the (old chapel) caught my attention. It seems that it was strongly built and made of hardwood but it was no longer occupied or used by the folks. Even if it's along the road, but there might be a reason for leaving this little chapel idle.

Then my husband and I went further until we came across a lot of cattle. Each cattle were placed in its individual cattle house or shed just enough for them. They can't be moved around unless somebody takes them out of their shed. These cattle were raised for fattening and marketing. I found out that this was a project funded by DOLE or the Department of Labor and Employment.

As we continued our journey, we passed this artistically designed blue-colored chapel. It's big, so maybe this is no longer a chapel but a church with an assigned parish priest. This landmark indicates that we were in the heart of the barangay.

While on our way, Im struck with the Buri plants. It's been a long time since I haven't seen this kind of plant. It's becoming rare already. When I was a child, I remembered we have this plant in our cornfield. But now it's gone already. This plant is very important since it has many uses. The landang or pearl ball used in cooking benignet came from this plant.

Another living creature that turns my head way out and Im amazed by its formation of leaves is the tree shown below. It grows beautifully with a pattern. Its leaves form a perfect circular formation that attracted me and Im sure other passers-by will be attracted on this too.

Then I saw a plantation. It's a dragon fruit plantation. I'm happy upon looking at the plantation since I loved eating dragon fruit. It's good in our daily diet because it provides us with nutrients and it has a medicinal purpose. With this plantation, the supply of dragon fruit in our market will be added. So our consumption will be maintained.

When we were in the middle of our journey, suddenly our motorcycle stopped. The rare tire was flat. Oh my God. I'm worried since my husband was having medication and he must avoid stress. But we have nothing to do with just walking along with the motorcycle. We walked almost 1 and 1/2 kilometers before we found a vulcanizing shop. My feet were aching already and my husband got tired of walking along the road while pushing the motorcycle.

Then we arrived at the bridges. Under the bridges was a river with a little water. Maybe when it rains, this river will overflow since it's big. According to the passers-by, ahead of the bridge, we will walk left since there was a vulcanizing shop there. It took almost 1 hour of walking before we saw the signages of a Vulcanizing Shop.

And so we continued walking until we saw the signed board Dakit Baas Road. This is it! Finally, we were alive. Thank you, Lord. We walked left and we saw the shop. So we went to the shop. The service man checked our motorcycle and he found out that we need to change the interior. So we bought an interior in the store near the shop. While waiting, I remembered that I am planning to sell this motor during the hospitalization of my husband but it was not push-through since we've found another way to answer all our needed budget. God is so good! The required budget for his medication and laboratories was answered with the help of my sister, relatives, and colleagues.

Finally, we continued our trip. Until we reached the Sea Oil Gasoline Station. This is the landmark indicating that we were near the national highway. From Sea Oil Station was the Bogo Sports Complex then the Bogo Centrum. Bogo Centrun is the new business center in Bogo. We finally arrived home at exactly 5:00 PM. We realized that sometimes taking a road detour especially if it is not along the highway is not good especially if we haven't checked our means of transportation. Traveling a long distance without readiness might bother our way especially if we were using a motorcycle. Vulcanizing shops or tire repair were seldom or few only in remote places like what we had experienced. We were still thankful that we arrived home safe and secure.

That's all for this blog. Thank you for reading and God bless.
