I've been spending a lot of time in the new section lately scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and.. through new content. The first thing I can't help but notice are cover images but I'm looking for new content producers, too, so I have my eye out for low reputations. Cover images, reputations, familiarity, loud colors, those seem to instinctually grab my attention—not necessarily in that order.
I've been supporting as I pass through by dropping lines and upvotes. Even found one the other day I reblogged—fine mixture of Hive promotion and the oldest trick in the book right there. Click that link. I'm making an extra effort to get to know some of the new Hivers by scrolling and scrolling and.. voting, engaging, stuff like that.
It's not a strange new concept or anything, it's just what I've been doing lately. I found some good content in the process. Found some newbies, too, who really know how to introduce themselves. Found some fellow travelers, some writers jumping ship from other platforms, photographers, there's a lot of content in the new section that freezes my scrolling.
I snapped that photo a few months ago and liked it but couldn't figure out what to do with it so it's been sitting in my photo collection, collecting dust. Fungi seems appropriate for the next couple of paragraphs. :cough: Back to the article...
There's a lotta fuckin garbage out there too. My scrolling manages to freeze on that as well, damn scrolling! Fuckin garbage! I'm talkin garbage-garbage, not nipples on a homepage garbage without any other text ever other than the occasional suspicious title.

Garbage-garbage, as in talkin shit against Hive garbage, theres a lot of that in my feed too—no shortage of finger pointing. Lots of noisy complaints and wanna-be repair technicians when the best repair method is just stick to doing what got you here. Something as simple as leading by example while producing original content is a repair method itself. But if I put'em on blast right here, the shit talkers, it doesn't make me any different. I'd just be adding shit to their shit which is twice the shit when there's plenty of other things to point my finger at like quality, original content.
So I had all these links, right? Links I'd copy/pasted to my notepad and wasn't sure how to present them. I considered attaching some of the negative articles so you could see what I'm talking about but got to about 10 and realized there's way too many. That, and I didn't like the idea of blending quality content with porn shit, screen shot shit, and selfie shit. I was unsure which direction to take these notes.
:knock knock: Eh, this is a nice surprise, it's @galenkp. 'Wassup Galen?' "Heard you say shit seven times—sounds like you need a bailout, mate." He dropped off this weekends engagement topic and split, just like that—bugger didn't even close the door. 'Thanks, chap!'

I see you over there all comfortable with that device in your hand and whatever the hell that is in your other hand wondering what I'll say next. This first nomination's a travel article. There isn't a single location on earth I'm opposed to discovering. @generikat takes us on a nice, descriptive tour through a Japanese friendship garden in Phoenix, Arizona with an excellent collection of images. I found this article a few days ago and its since gained @curangel support—well deserved!
Sometimes amongst the hustle and bustle of humanity's noisiest spaces you find little gems of serenity and solitude. Those two S words definitely define the Japanese Friendship Garden Of Phoenix.
Next nomination is a Linkin Park cover by @endersong I found this morning. @appreciator has since stopped by, congratulations! On a very nicely constructed, bi-lingual blog, he performs Numb on an instrument both Galen and I are big fans of—keys.
The band Linkin Park was one of the first metal bands that I heard in my life and as always take advantage of honoring them is never over.

Now these next two, I'm not gonna lie. There's so many selfie's and porn in the new feed, I thought these next two were one or both of those, I couldn't have been more mistaken. First is @ahmadturki from Lumpur. I thought another hot chick was taking selfie's waiting to be improperly rewarded and was pleasantly surprised by a very well written article by an artist/photographer. The photos aren't porn at all, each of them are classy, sexy, and professional. The article has since attracted the attention of @curangel, congratulations!
During these crazy times we see our selves spending more and more time at home, And since theres not much to do i can always find the time to play with the camera and create clicks.
And lastly, my fifth and final nomination for this weekend's engagement topic posted by @harmony.art. This is only her second post since joining Hive last week, welcome! Again, I thought it was another one of those selfie things, BIG mistake. She put together a really nice introduction post complete with traveling, hobbies, art, photography, go check it out—let'er know what you think. @curie has since stopped by, I'm happy to see all these curators supporting new content creators, congratulations!
