What a special memory

Yesterday was one super day for me. As my son Jack and his wife Lesley were pretty much ready for their move, we were able to spend some quality time together.

We started off the morning at Columbia Beach Bar, where Les and I shared an avocado with egg brunch and Jack had a bagel with chorizo sausage, Italian cheese and fried eggs.

Jack's breakfast also looked and tasted amazing - so he said.

Then we drove to the Marina and walked around a bit and then Les remembered hearing about the beach at the Marina. I was very skeptical and couldn't imagine that there was a beach there.

How very wrong I was and what a lovely surprise. We stopped in to have a cocktail and I had a lemon meringue dessert.

Then as if that was not enough of a spoil, Jack took us to see the new James Bond movie at the cinema. I can't remember when last I went to a cinema.

And ... that didn't end there - we still went to Barleys to share a chicken kebab and a pie with steak and ale.

The kebab was huge - there was plenty of leftovers for home

So thank you Jack and Les - for creating a really wonderful memory - what a last day!!!

I wish them so much love and happiness in their new home.
