Ways to feel good at social events. Weekend-engagement #198.

Hello hivians, I am glad to be participating in this community and to share my views on the prompts for the week for the first time.

Social events bring people from all works of life together. There is virtually no weekend that one does not hold a social event. Be it a birthday party, wedding party, funerals, age group meetings, festivals and so on, these events are remarkable for bringing different people together and for entertainment.

Do you need alcohol to feel good at a social event?

My response to the above question is NO. I do not think one needs to take alcoholic drinks to feel good at a social event.

Some persons don't take alcoholic drinks due to one personal reason or the other. Others loath the very mention of alcohol at a social event, yet these people can be seen at social settings having a good time.

One factor that creates a fun atmosphere is a good rapport between acquaintances at any social event. The free flow of communication and laughter plus the light jokes and banter passed among the guests present, adds up to making the event fun.

Also, the arrangements by the host for these social settings can also raise the bar of fun up a notch, creating easy camaraderie amongst the guests present, with no dull moments in between. Games and other activities like dancing, teasers, truth or dare, monkey see monkey do etc can make one have a good time at social settings.

Consuming alcoholic drinks is not too good of an idea as one can become inebriated and this would not bode well for that person as they might become objects of ridicule. Plus it would be kind of risky for such a one to locate his or her way home.

Alcoholic drink consumption might also not be made available by the hist so as to preserve the peace and avoid violent reactions and tendencies, which are possibilities when one consimes alcohol.

Social events are fun times and the purpose of celebrating with the host is very crucial. Everyone is happy and gleefully smiling from ear to ear and when the event is done, it will still be spoken of by those who were in attendance.
