Baby's First Waterfall! (Plus A Special Appearance 😱)

Trying to save money with two young children has been a very difficult thing to do! I do not mean it in the sense of children are expensive, they want everything. Instead I am referring to wanting to spoil them constantly! Although we have not had the funds to do extravagant things just yet, we are blessed with an abundance of nature, so we decided to take our two little girls to a waterfall! 😄

Tiffany Falls is one of the 156 waterfalls that are located in Hamilton, Ontario alone --that's one city!! 😮 In fact, Hamilton is considered the waterfall capital of the entire world! Tiffany Falls is located in a conservation area that is specifically protected for its wildlife and natural environment. Its bedrock formation alone is considered an Earth Science Area of Regional Significance.

Hello!~ 👋😊 Here you will see me with our newest baby, Riley! 😄 Although she is only 2 months old, she is progressing rapidly and is extremely aware of everything going on around her. In fact she was quite enthralled with the amount of green surrounding her 😂 Notice her little legs dangling out of her carrier!

The forest surrounding Tiffany Falls consists of a variety of tree species, including: Sugar Maple, Red Oak, White Ash, Black Walnut, and Butternut! There are also many animal and insect species, such as the Purple Clematis, the Hickory Hairstreak butterfly, and the Northern Ringneck Snake. In fact we were greeted by a friend during our adventure, who just randomly decided to land on me! 😄

Despite being unsure of his exact species, I know that this is a Dragonfly! I am quite familiar with dragonflies, for I used to catch them in my hands when I was a child. The vibrations from their wings really give you a tickle! 😁 This little guy actually stayed with us for a few moments before finally flying away...

At the end of the day, both babies were extremely happy! 😊 Kiva was a bit unsure of the water, but quickly adjusted and started running around! After Riley finished taking in all of the sights, she had a lovely nap~ 😁
