WE 129: Bertrayo Learns to Shoot!

Hi there,

I hope you're doing well.

On this #weekend-engagement, I decided to go ahead and learn how to shoot a fire arm.

Arms are part of human culture. We have been driven by war for so long and kept that way that nowadays the shape of these have changed a lot and their escale, but their purpose reasons the same.

I'm not an advocate of having no right to bear arms. That's something that has held many changes back here in the country. If we had the right to do it, I think 2016 protests could've gone differently.

But would I tackle this. Easy. I wouldn't go in the army nor the police. These groups have become part of the crisis. They are a stranglehold for many. I'd go to Australia to learn from my buddy, the G-dog.

Why? He's a certified firearm teacher and as far as I'm aware a really good shot. Under the tutelage of the wonder Aussie, I'm sure my skills would develope in no time. I bet I have a pretty bad aim, but that may have some solution.

The pension for this study would include some of the maintainance of the arms, how to pick them apart, how to load them safely, how to aim them properly, how to deal with recoil, how maybe shot to fire consecutivily before the barrel is to hot to keep precision.

And I bet this would go with many types of firearms form pistols to rifles.

I might get lucky and have the chance to see some of the G-dog's work a culling kangaroos' over population and destruction of property. It would be interesting to see a practice of moving targets. And also because this job requires a ton of accuracy.

However, the most important part of this whole learning experience would be to remove the satanization of arms. They are dangerous, yes. But they don't kill people. Arms are tools. They are used for many other things other than killing people. Of course, this has been a very big issue of each stage of humanity. But maybe change would come if people knew how to use them and learnt respect. They are not to be feared, but respected. Just like we ought to respect nature and each other.

About my final exam, I bet G-dog is a very hard teacher so I bet he would have shoot different things at targets placed at different distances and have a minimum score in order to approve the test.

I just hope my aim stays true. Because if you know how bad I'm at FPS, you know I'm in for a challenge!

I'm pretty sure my favorite part about the whole experience will be to put the arms apart. I like to build stuff. The same true for taking them apart and understanding their pieces. I just wish that when I do it, it still works. Otherwise, I'll be buying some guns to repay for the ones I break. 😅
