Alcohol is the anesthesia by which we endure the operation of life

The fun, the pleasure, and echoes of laughter, alcohol gives it all in one like a pro. For a moment or two, whatever it is that's troubling the mind is gone, and the body becomes heavy and light as well to enjoy whatever the moment brings, and that's all. The moment it enters the vein, whatever happens during and after is something we have to hold on to, tight like a whip.

We are humans with different personalities which means if a lot of people get themselves hooked up in a place, there are some people there who can't speak well or make eye contact without some alcohol in their veins. It is a sort of medicine that gingers their swagger to speak and enjoy the moment. It makes them feel like a legend in whatever they do. The whoo! sound vibrates from their lungs and gets released to the atmosphere. They get the fun they need and go on till they drop.

The first thing that is always present in a party among others is alcohol! The availability of it draws some people to social gatherings because they are a huge lover of alcohol and can never pass on any social gathering if it is accepted, especially when they are invited.

In my country, there are some social gatherings that don't encourage drinking alcohol. Let's say in a church or mosque. Taking alcohol is prohibited, and anyone found with it will be dealt with according to the law of the organization. However, there are tons of places where alcohol can be found. Birthday parties, club, burial service, naming ceremony, and whatnot! In these places, people need to feel good. Thus, they believe alcohol is the only thing that can give them the good time they want.

Truthfully, it may, but I do believe a person does not need to drink alcohol to have a good time in a social setting. There are lots of other ways someone can have a good time without alcohol. Playing games is one, and conversation is another big added way to it.

There are people you'll meet in social settings, and you'd be glad you met them because of how intelligent they are. They can bring up a topic and elaborate more on it. They are good at holding up a conversation, and the more time is invested speaking and listening, echoes of laughter and fun will be present.

Surely, it is hard to find someone in a social gathering who isn't with a bottle or glass of wine, but the moment you find your person or the clique of people to converse with, the night will feel like it has given its will to a bullet train and you'd wish morning never came. Also, at the end of the gathering, you either get in a taxi or drive your car home, and deep down, you'd know you had a good time, made good friends, maybe and got home without puking on the floor or yourself.

Whatever it was that happened during and after the social gatherings is what you are aware of because you are in full control of yourself and won't wake up the next day with an ache.
