I think that comparing ourselves with others is the worst thing we can do, each of us is a different and independent individual who will never do things the same as someone else, we can use other people as an example, but not measure ourselves against them.
Not to mention comparing others, as a parent or teacher that is a recipe for creating insecurities in others and no one deserves to have that done to them.
