When we got the chance to review the facelift Type R, we jumped at the chance - and not only that, we also have the Sportline on review in a matter of weeks as well.
The FK8 you either love or hate - technically it's a Marmite car (or to be quintessentially British, it's not everyone's cup of tea)
The thing you have to recognise about this car is that everything about it has a purpose, and this is - arguably - the best front wheel drive hot hatch in the world, and it's a manual, with a very nice short shift.
In Annabelle's words, this motor ticks a lot of boxes:
It pulls 0-60mph in 5.8 seconds, then gets you to 100mph in 12.1 seconds, and then tops out at 169mph - not surprising for 320 BHP and 400 Newton meters of torque.
The biggest problem with this car is - and this is Ben speaking - that it is almost too easy to lose your driving licence in it.
The facelift has a few new additions, mostly under the bonnet and in the powertrain - but we don't want to spoil the fun.
Thank you all, and enjoy!
