Essential parts

CHASSIS
This which was coined from french is a French term which was initially used to denote the frame or main structure of a vehicle. The chassis is an important part of an automobile, because it carries out several duties, now furthermore,it contains all the major units necessary to propel the vehicle, guide its motion, stop it and allow it to run smoothly over uneven surfaces. This is also known as the mounting for all the components including the body.

These are just a few recorded functions of the chassis that I would love to share with all. Many car owners don't even know the functions of these components.

a. The chassis is the part which carries the weight of the vehicle and its passengers.
b. It is also the part that withstands the following stresses of force acting on the car like the engine and transmission torque and thrust stresses with the accelerating and braking torque.
c. The chassis withstands the centrifugal force while taking a turn.

FUEL SUPPLY

In gasoline engines, the fuel and air mixture is supplied to the combustion chamber of an engine. The whole chemistry behind this is that the mixture is atomized and then vaporized by the injector system. Then it is ignited by the spark plugs. You should also know that one of the reasons why I like the gasoline engine is that it uses fuels like petrol, benzoyl and alcohol because it is a spark ignition engine. As of recent, the fuel is injected in the flow of air at a certain temperature and pressure and the fuel vaporises faster and the combustion process is better with low emission. This also allows for better fuel efficiency.

In the compression ignition engine typically a diesel engine, the fuel is sent through the fuel pump to the injector and the injector sprays the fuel at the end of the compression stroke. The oil fuels which are used in compression ignition engines do not vaporize easily. Therefore, a separate injection system is used consisting of fuel injection pump (FIP) and injectors. These injectors atomize the fuel and it is sent for combustion. In recent times, in this compression ignition engine, the common rail direct injection system (CRDI) is used for better engine performance.
