My investment goal was to have enough HIVE so that my upvote would be worth more than $0.02 . The two penny mark is important because HIVE will not give awards for posts with under two pennies in rewards. I want to be able to reward people who write great comments.
The two penny upvote means that I can sweep my own dust.
I have 4,300 HIVE. Thanks to the bump in the price of HIVE, I have achieved my goal and I decided to stop powering up. I will continue to accumulate my HP rewards until the account passes the 5000 mark.
I appear to be addicted to the Hive Ecosystem. Instead of selling my excess HIVE. I decided to turn my attention to Hive Engine. HiveStats.io shows people's Hive Engine portfolio. This is my portfolio
The LEO is the most exciting token on Hive Engine. Leo concentrates on conversations about crypto. I like to engage in conversations about science, art, food, politics and more. So, I am powering up most of my tokens.
I used the information from HiveStats.io to make a chart of my current holdings. I added the HIVE column as that is the base coin of Hive Engine.
While making the chart, I realized that the USD amount is more important than the number of tokens. I originally wanted to accumulate 1000 LEO, but decided that the dollar exposure was too high. I wanted only 1000 FOODIE, but there the dollar exposure was too low.

The first alt coin that I bought last month was a case of BEER. Because I have 24 BEER I can give 0.1 BEER to people who leave comments (limit one per day). I don't think I need more than 25 BEER.
The two coins I am currently accumulating are DHEDGE and ARCHON.
I had received a small amount of ARCHON which I powered up. Because I have ARCHON, I started receiving a "daily drip" of DHEDGE. A drip is a very small deposit based on my token holdings.
DHEDGE is an interesting token which I believe is from the creators of DCity. People can send select tokens to @discohedge . discohedge will mint new coins for the user at a given rate and then drip the tokens back to the owners of DHEDGE. Because I own DHEDGE, I am get daily drips for 16 different tokens.
The drips are all less than a HIVE penny. But is interesting to get different tokens.
The one change I would make to DHEDGE. Instead of giving 16 small drips a day. I think it would be fun to cycle through the coins during the week with larger drips. Regardless, it is fun to get drips from different coins.
Okay, the real reason I am holding DHEDGE is that I don't have to stake the coin. I get drips just for owning the coin. I would like to accumulate $20 in DHEDGE. If I needed a little bit of online currency, I could just liquidate the DHEDGE and make my purchase.
The scary thing about DHEDGE is that I don't know the formula behind the drips, nor do I understand the financial backing for the coin. They have a discord server which shows conversion transactions. The DHEDGE Rich List shows that only 49 people are holding more than 1000 DHEDGE. Since the coin might disappear, I don't want too much exposure to it. That said, I think it is a better place to hold loose change than HBD.
Summary
Since I reached my HIVE goal, I am no longer powering up HIVE. I have just $45 in my Hive Engine account. I think I will power up Hive Engine tokens until I have a $600 in alt coins.
I grabbed an image from Big Stock Photo of a hedge maze since I am accumulating DHEDGE. Hive Engine is a little like a hedge labyrinth.
Help, I am stuck in a maze and I don't know how to get out!
