With Russia Ukraine war intensifying, crypto donations continue pouring in supporting Ukrainian charities, government and military. In response to a plea by Ukrainian Government for donations, $37 million dollar in crypto donations have been raised so far.

Ukrainian Government provided Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT wallet address to receive crypto donation. Green Wood, Polkadot co-founder on Sunday pledged to donate $5 million in Polkadot, if Ukrainian Government were to post their Polkadot wallet address.

Wood's DOT donation is currently the largest crypto donation by a single person, and makes about 10% of the total crypto donations raised so far to help Ukraine. Binance has already donated $10 million, and many other crypto industry leaders have also donated large . A few days ago, a Bitcoin whale donated $3 million alone.

Crypto community have largely been supportive and sympathetic to the Ukrainian fundraising, ever since war broke out. But the industry still remains divided about imposing a crypto blanket ban on Russia. Major crypto exchanges have already declined request by Ukrainian government to halt their services to their Russian customers, citing the move would be unjust for the general Russian public.

With hefty crypto donations flowing into Ukrainian Government wallets, concerns are being raised regarding the transparent utilization of the funds, especially since the Zelenskyy administration is not well reputed when it comes to corruption.
