The Great British Coin Hunt Quintessentially British A to Z

For those tummies still rumbling there’s a British solution, Fish and Chips are a tempting, tasty national institution.
There’s nothing more British than freshly cooked, piping hot, fish and chips, smothered in salt and doused with vinegar, wrapped in newspaper and eaten out-of-doors on a cold and wintry day – it simply cannot be beaten!
For many of us, fish and chips conjure up an array of memories, from seaside holidays, a pay-day treat at the end of the working week or a late-night supper on the way home from the pub.
Few of us can resist the mouth-watering combination, even Churchill was a fan calling them “the good companions”. And we each have our preferences – salt and vinegar? Pickled Onion? Scraps?

Is there anything more quintessentially British that a bag of fish and chips? Its been a stable to many a household for decades. Being an island nation, fish has played a large part for many since people first inhabited this island. With rich fishing waters around the North of Scotland, fish such as Cod, haddock, plaice and many others are abundant.

Im not a ig fan of the design, but I do have a nostalgic feeling towards this coin. Memories of having a slap up fish dinner with my nan as a child, with door-step thick cut bread and an inch of butter.... Ohh good times.

The least sort after of the 26 coins to enter circulation, which surprises me, they can be picked up pretty cheap on the second hand market.

Well I'm surprised at the price the 2019 version sells for, considering how undesirable they are (apparently).

Like the previous coins, I've talked about so far, it's definitely worth while choosing to collect the 2019 versions given the chance. Their mintage figure being 1/3 of 2018 makes then far more desirable, and the potential to be worth a lot more in the future.
