Once again, as I said at the beginning of the Unofficial Winners List post, here's a quick explanation of what the "Updated" thing means. I mentioned a few times recently that I'm streamlining things a bit, as well as adding beneficiaries to these four monthly posts.
For the Announcement post, I set the 3 winners from July's HivePUD as the recipients of the post payout, and for the Welcome post I did the same for the 3 winners of @victoriabsb's July HPUD. The Unofficial Winners post was set to burn the post rewards, since I thought it would make sense to do something to increase the value of the Hive we're all staking. However next month, I'll probably set the beneficiary of the Unofficial Winners to the @hive.fund (aka the DHF/Decentralized Hive Fund I mentioned in the announcement post), since @acidyo someone bitched had some feedback... 😉 😂
This post was going to be the only one with the rewards set to myself, but as I was doing the benes on the first post, it suddenly popped into my head that there was someone else who should be included, and I'm somewhat embarrassed that it took me this long to think of it. So, as a thank you for sending me the raw data every month (especially knowing he could be spending that time on the beach instead), 20% of this payout will go to my numbers man extraordinaire, @abh12345!
And now to the business at hand - a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to this month's #HivePUD, either through powering up, posting, offering prizes, or spreading the word. Altogether we had:
- 115 posts on the 1st tagged with #HivePUD and/or #HPUD.
- 106 people who powered up and posted on the 1st using #HivePUD and/or #HPUD, with 54 of those qualifying for prizes.
- 41,653.32 Hive (worth approx $12,837 USD) powered up from Hive Power Up Day participants during the hours of the first via their local time.
- 104,951 Hive (worth approx $41,980.40 USD) powered up by 348 people during the 24 hour UTC time set to earn @hivebuzz badges (check out their Feedback from the August 1st Hive Power Up Day post for more info).
All in all, while participation in both was down slightly this month (again I'm gonna say it's because putting $HBD into savings to get that sweet 10% APR might have something to do with it), I can definitely say it was another wicked awesomesauce Power Up Day, my Hive friends!
